Ezra wasn't quite sure where he was, but the carpet was soft beneath his cheek and the place smelt faintly of wolf but mostly of human. Delicious, delicious human. The young vampire hummed to himself as he sprawled upon the carpet just behind the desk, if somebody entered he may not be seen quite so quickly but that was kind of the point. The mildly inebriated Jinn was coming down from a rather indulgent fae blood high and perhaps he had been taunting a couple of guards by dangling his tracker on the end of his finger in front of them. Of course he could slip the band, but he'd never mocked the staff with that fact before. Now, now he didn't want to be left alone and he was pretty damn certain that they were all looking for him.
It was enough to make him want to bang his forehead against the floor repeatedly but that required energy that he didn't feel he had right now. No more than to just stare at the carpet from his close distance and occassionally mutter something beneath his breath.
Ezra felt completely done now, withdrawal from the drugs and the fae blood he's taken a liking too just seems to heighten his other losses, particularly the silence in his mind. That space that had been taken up by somebody else's presence for so very long was now empty, it had been empty for a while and it was lonely as hell. Perhaps that was the reason why his parents had never wanted their children to belong to anybody, because adjusting to life without somebody in that portion of his consciousness was just .. Well, it was empty. Ezra likes to think he's a pretty strong individul, he has Vaith for all of the vampirey stuff, but without the easy access he used to have with drugs he's crashing somewhat.
He felt in a constant state of just needing something, anything and it was frustrating as hell not being able to sate that particular exasperating feeling. Dammit all to hell. He sighed loudly and somewhat dramatically and rolled over onto his back, eyes blinking open as somebody entered the room. Great, he'd been found.

I Think You Can Save Me
Cairo had just finished his last class of the day. Today just happened to be one of the days he taught night courses. He remembered that when he first started at Manson, the school hadn't been all too concerned with the night dwellers. They hadn't exactly thought there would be much need for those who roamed in darkness to learn about Life Skills. Cairo had not agreed. While he may be a bit timid and skittish, he was quite passionate about teaching and even more passionate about helping students integrate into the world outside of Manson. It had taken some pushing, but they'd eventually approved the night courses and Cairo felt as though they'd been quite beneficial.
The brown haired male finished stacking his papers and started down the hall towards his office. He needed to drop off a couple of things before he headed home for the evening. These days he was in the best of moods. There was nothing stressing him out, no excessive worries, life was good. It had seemed like a long time since the last time he'd felt this happy. He had a certain bear to thank for that. A smile lingered on his lips as he pushed open the door to his office and flicked on the light. Cairo was blissfully unaware that his office was being occupied, else he would have made a b-line for the door instead of the desk where he neatly placed his papers. He'd grade them tomorrow during lunch. Right now he just wanted to go home, watch a bit of television, and sleep.
"Where did I put my bag," he wondered aloud. "I could have sworn I left it by the filing cabinet...." He tapped his foot lightly before starting to the other side of the desk. Maybe he'd left it under there. He had been in a rush this morning.

He stopped moving, stopped breathing when Cairo entered, he was half expecting to be found and so phasing out would do him no good here. If he ran again then there was no doubt he'd end up in isolation and put upon stricter restrictions and he doesn't want that. Not really. Ezra might be a little daft half of the time and sometimes come across as a bit of a brat but he's not concieted enough to believe that he deserved a slap on the wrist for his previous antics. He wouldn't want them to call in that counsellor, the one who could control air in a way he'd not even imagined before, that guy was scary. Ez pouted to himself and awaited the order to stay still but it never came..
Instead somebody was mumbling to themselves about a bag. The teacher? Ez soundlessly rolled over and peered out from where he had lain half hidden so he could watch the oblivious man.. Oh dear, he was coming closer. He was going to get spotted and then what? Would he raise the alarm? Let security know he was hiding in his office? Panic pretty much sent him into moving quickly, the speed of his species advantageous in that moment as he got up and cupped his hand over Cairo's lower face, semi-floating but shushing the man before he'd even spoken.
"Don't scream, don't shout, please, please don't-" He breathed in just so he could continue to speak. No air in the lungs meant no speaky and he has one hell of a lot to say as always. But those words didn't come, in fact nothing happened except for his pupils dilating and his nostrils flaring for a second time as he drank in the scent of the man right in front of him. He hasn't spent much time around humans since he'd been turned. Well, there were a couple but he'd killed them. Not the best track record, there's a reason why Vaith set him on that fang ban. It may have been a little better to train him to control himself but isn't hindsight such a wonderful thing?
"Please don't panic," he added as an afterthought, his voice lowered to a breathy little plead, if Cairo did then things probably wouldn't go well.
