- MAIN HALL -

The Main Hall is a seldom used space, only really coming into use when events are held. As you can imagine, it is pretty hard to get a room full of troubled supernaturals to sit together for any length of time and behave. More often then not it is used to gather smaller groups for classes or group activities

- HALLWAYS AND CORRIDORS -

The hallways and corridors at Manson can either be a hive of activity or like a ghost town. With so many students on strict schedules dictating when they should be where, and staff working long shifts at a time, it is rare you will see anyone just walking the hallway before they disappear into another room. The busiest time is when people are moving between classes. Still, if you do find yourself just aimlessly wondering around (and avoid lessons) you might bump into another doing the same. Then again, you might bump into a security guard or teacher..

- LESSONS -

Like it or not, you got to go to class. There are a lot of fun lessons to go with the more boring ones. Some made to help you cope with your problems so by going you may be able to complete you time at the academy quicker. Most of the teachers are actually pretty nice, if a bit strict so there really isn't much to complain about for being forced to attend. Generally its a choice of 'go to lessons' or 'be grounded in your room all morning'. As a student you not going to be allowed to wonder the academy aimlessly all day.

- LIBRARY -

The library isn't greatly big compared to the other places in the academy, but it is still surprisingly popular among staff and students. Row upon row of books line shelves so you are always going to find something to interest yourself, or get that book to help with a lesson. It is always peaceful here so ideal if you want to escape from the noise of the main academy. To teach you some responsibility, things work the same as most libraries. You can check out five books, if you fail to return them or they get lost or damaged, you will get a fine.

- CANTEEN -

All types of diets are catered for here. Fresh bloodbags for the vamps, large amounts of meat for the weres, or vegetarian and vegan meals for the less carnivorous. The canteen is a large space, with tables that can sit at least five to each. Three meals a day are provided as standard, unless a residents diet requires otherwise. The rest of the time the canteen is closed but fresh fruit and drinks are generally always available if you just want to come here to sit and eat a snack.

- TOILETS -

Everyone has to use these. Well, being dead the vampires don't... Still, some come here just to avoid class, smoke or do some 'deals'. Pretty much use it for anything apart from what the place was designed for. There are separate toilets for the guys and the girls so make sure you don't walk into the wrong one, that might be awkward.

- COUNSELLING -

Counselling is seen as a important part of rehabilitating the residents of Manson. Not all are required to attend sessions, but most are force to see a counsellor at least a couple times a year to discuss progress. Low risk residents normally take part in group sessions, while those with a higher risk or specific problem that needs monitoring are assigned there own counsellor.

There are the kitchens, but you are not really allowed to be in there. It might take a while to learn where everything is, but the place is well sign posted so you shouldn't get very lost.

- MEDICAL CENTER -

At some point all staff and students visit here, even if it is just to collect medication or to treat a stab wound. The medical staff are trained in the needs of many different species and are able to treat most things that they are presented with. Anything that is out of there abilities or requires surgery is treated at the local hospital where a select number of the hospital staff know of the academies supernatural patients, because they are supernatural themselves.

- WAITING AREA -

The medical center can get very busy at times, so while you wait to see the nurse or doctor, pick up a magazine and relax in one of the chairs

- THE HATCH -

Only trusted students are allowed to self medicate, all others that require medication come here to collect any they are required to take. As a few checks are needed (just to make sure you do need meds) it can take up time to get your morning pills, so you may be queuing a while

- TREATMENT ROOM 1-3 -

If you need some treatment, you will get placed into one of these room to wait for the nurse. Curtains separate the areas for privacy

- OVERNIGHT WARD -

Generally the medical staff don't like keeping students in overnight, but if it is needed they will stay in the overnight ward. There are ten beds in the first ward, and another ten in the next. Each bed is separated by a curtain but otherwise the space is shared

- SECURE WARD -

The secure medical ward is for students that are a high risk but need medical treatment. There is a corridor that leads directly from the security facility to here for emergencies. Each patient gets there own room in this ward and watched by a personal guard while they are treated by the nurses

- SECURE FACILITY -

The Secure facility is run by the Security team at the academy. Some areas here are more guarded then others, a few have padded cells for the more violent student. All the cells have unbreakable perspex fronts so there really isn't anywhere to hide from the guards sight. The facility is split into 3 levels, the least dangerous or ones that just need a place to calm down are housed on the ground floor, the ones that are more of a danger are on the level above. The most dangerous residents and ones that cannot have a room inside the main academy dorms are housed underground on the level often called 'the snake pit' by members of the security team. Male and female residents are also kept separately.

Sub-boards: Control Room, Break Room

- SOLITARY CONFINEMENT -

If you are in here, then you know your in deep trouble. Be prepared to not see another face for some time apart from the guard who will be shoving your food through a small hatch in the door three times a day. One hour a day is all the time you will be granted leave, and then its only to another enclosed yard still in the secure facility

- HEAD OF SECURITY OFFICE -

This is where you will find the Head of Security, Jackson Teller, or 'Jax' to most people, when he isn't patrolling the halls

- FIRST FLOOR -
(Risk Levels 3)

The first floor of the secure facility can only be reached by a locked lift or staircase. Both need a security pass to use. Those housed here are seen as a moderate threat to the general staff and students. You can often find werecreatures here around the time of full moon when there 'other side' can become a problem.

- GROUND FLOOR -
(Risk Levels 1-2)

The ground floor houses residents with a risk level of 1 or 2. As these students are generally no trouble, they are less guarded. Mostly if they get sent here it is as they had a bad day or got into a fight and just need a place to calm down

- UNDERGROUND FLOOR -
(Risk Levels 4-5)

The basement of the secure facility houses the most dangerous residents at the academy. Those here are considered a very high threat to the other staff and students. Only select number of guards are trained to deal with those housed here. As you can imagine, this area is heavily guarded and can only be reached by going down a otherwise locked staircase, through several heavily bolted doors and a few checkpoints

- RESIDENT DORMS A TO D -

Residents whose surname falls between A to D are housed here. All rooms come equipped with a bed, a small bedside cabinet, a chest of draws, a wardrobe and a desk. All rooms have a bathroom with toilet and basin, but not all have showers.

Residents whose surname falls between I to M are housed here. All rooms come equipped with a bed, a small bedside cabinet, a chest of draws, a wardrobe and a desk. All rooms have a bathroom with toilet and basin, but not all have showers.

- SHOWERS -

Showers, what more is there to say? There are separate blocks for the guys and the girls. If you are lucky, your room will have en-suit shower, but generally those are only for the older residents. If you are not lucky enough to find a shower in your dorm rooms bathroom, this is where you will have to come to have a proper wash.

Residents whose surname falls between S to Z are housed here. All rooms come equipped with a bed, a small bedside cabinet, a chest of draws, a wardrobe and a desk. All rooms have a bathroom with toilet and basin, but not all have showers.

- LAWNS -

Always green, the lawns are a nice place to just sit and cloud watch. A few benches are dotted around if you rather not get grass stains

- STUDENT BAR -

A pretty cool building where students can relax and get a drink, a alcoholic one if you got some ID and are not under any restrictions. If your hungry you can get something to eat also, all while music is played and you relax in of the large sofas or chairs. There is a second floor to the bar but that is for academy staff only.

Sub-board: Staff Only Floor

- GREENHOUSES -

Gardening is good for you, apparently. Most students are forced to do some therapeutic gardening and grow flowers, with the aim that you will 'learn how to care for another living thing'. The plants are actually kind of nice and a lot of the residents actually seem to enjoy it, even if they would never admit it. There are quite a few large greenhouses in the grounds, some smaller ones, and a lot of them provide the academy with its daily fruit and vegetables.

- PATIO -

A nice seating area just outside the doors that lead from the academy to the grounds. Surrounded by raised flowerbeds, and trailing plants along the wooden awening, it is a good place to eat on a warm day where you can either be in some shade or sit in the sun. Smoking is not permitted in the covered area but is allowed in the more open space provided you dispose of you cigarette stubs properly.

- GREAT LAKE -

Maybe not great but it is pretty large. It is not advised you go swimming in it's waters though, there is a swimming house for that. The lake is very deep with a lot of pond life and matter so it really isn't safe to swim in. Instead just enjoy sitting at the waters edge, maybe dangle your feet in the water or feed the ducks that make the lake there home. In winter the lake freezes over so you can have more fun with it and go skating on the thick ice.

- SWIMMING HOUSE -

A lot of residents don't get the chance to go out much so the swimming house provides a good way to have fun and some excessive. A large pool is inside the swimming house (of course) which is free to use most of the day and night, unless it has to be cleaned or there are no staff on duty to supervise. But there is also a sauna for the types that don't like getting wet but like or need the heat. There are changing areas also so you don't need to worry about having to change in your dorm room before you come out.

- WORKSHOP -

Anything in the academy that breaks, falls apart or gets blown up, gets taken here for the maintenance team to mend. If you just want something made or fixed for yourself, give a knock on the door and ask for Kelly. Most of the team don't like doing personal things for students (mostly as the Headmaster disapproves of it and they want to keep there jobs), but he wont mind any requests... Don't be put off by his slightly gruff appearance, making and fixing things its what he loves! If Kelly isn't around, then one of the other members of the maintenance team can always help you out providing its work related request or they are feeling helpful.

- FOREST -

Manson Academy is set in the middle of dense forest. Ideal for hiding a asylum of supernatural creatures. The more 'beastly' residents are allowed out to roam the area to act out some of the more primal urges (hopefully meaning they wont on any of the other staff or students), but sometimes other residents like to take a walk in the woods. Just try to not get lost.

- BACK ROAD -

The one and only road leading away from the academy. Follow this road to get to home, to the local town or to its shops. Thick woodland line either side of the road, but the road itself is in pretty good condition. Few cars drive this far out, generally only going as far as the town. So if you are a student and walking down it and see a car, it is probably owned by a staff member at the academy and your likely to be picked up and taken straight back to the place.

- OLD HOSPITAL BUILDING -

In the outskirts of the academy grounds is evidence of what the academy used to be like. The building now it is pretty much just a skeleton, nothing is inside but empty rooms and old beds

- OLD SCHOOL HOUSE -

Another broken building, school desks are still inside and doors and windows shut up. Then, if you are inventive you can probably find a way in

- OLD ASYLUM -

Where the human crazy used to be held, like the other things in this part of the academy grounds, it is not in use. Or, that is what the staff say

- OLD PLAYGROUND -

I guess it was thought that it was enough to keep the children of the old hospital and asylum entertained. Probably did at the time but now it wouldn't be wise to let kids anywhere near this playground of rusty swings and slides. Still, its ideal for a bored teenage creature of the night

- HIGHSTREET -

Mansons location is very rural so you need to drive at least thirty to forty minutes out before you can get to any sort of civilization, or indeed home. The first place you will see is the highstreet shops. There is no mall, but you can still buy clothes, books, food or a new dvd if you really want. There are also a few cafe if you just need to refuel

- TOWN PARK -

Being a busy town there are not great many green spaces unless you head out to the woodland, which is not always possible for many of the towns busy working residents. The park is another option being close by and a good area to relax and walk the dog, if you have one

- LOCAL HOUSES -

A lot of the staff who work at the academy live here in the town, either owning a house or renting a apartment. Others prefer a more rural scene and live at the edge of the woods that surrounds the academy

- CARPE NOCTEM -

Nestled inside this deconsecrated church party goers can plunge into the organic design of the HEAVEN and HELL as they dance the night away, exploring every wicked desire known to man. The main floor bar area delves you deep inside the PIT, providing the perfect place to party the night away in purgatorial fire. Or will you count your lucky stars and ascend into the rafters, gracing our white bar with your presence as you watch the PIT from above. Will you find yourself in heaven or hell? Who knows what the fiery manifestation of Carpe Noctem will submerge you in! Supernatural and familiars alike are only permitted inside the doors of Carpe Noctem so there is no fear of letting your freak flag fly.
