It was no surprise that Adam had ended up in solitary confinement after the little stunt he'd pulled in the canteen. He'd hurt so many people in his fit of anger. When it had all been said and done, he'd felt awful. He'd tried explaining that he hadn't meant to do the things he'd done, but no one was willing to listen. No one ever listened, except maybe David. The brown haired boy sighed heavily and pressed his back against the wall so that he was staring up at the bed. Adam didn't sleep. He didn't eat. It was pointless when he was dead. So he'd been trying to find little things to entertain him since he couldn't phase through the wall. He'd walked up and down the walls pretending to be a vampire, he'd floated around the room like a genie, and he'd even gone so far as to pretend to levitate with his legs crossed like some magician. Eventually, he'd grown bored and ended up in the corner, tapping one small foot against the bland floor until he'd found a little rhythm. Solitary might have been less torturous if he could sleep some of the hours away.
"I'm bored," he murmured, slowly getting to his feet and walking to the door. "Hello? Is there anybody out there? Hello?" Adam stood on his tippy toes before he just floated up to the window. "Can I get a toy to play with? I promise not to run away. I swear it." He meant it too. He just wanted something to occupy the time. He didn't like solitary at all, but he had to try and get through this in order to get out. Sorry apparently wouldn't cut it, so Adam was trying a different approach for his own sake.
