Lyss sniffed at the ground, scenting the area he'd recently shifted in just for something to do. It hurt to shift forms, it always had since the first time it had happened and even though he told himself that it was getting better as time passed he couldn't deny that it was still difficult. However, he could shut down the human part of his mind for a while and let the wolf take over, let it's excitement at being free for a short while overtake the hesitance of going through the process of his body changing so drastically. It meant that after he'd shifted the wolf was very much in control and taking it's time looking around the area and taking in every little thing he possibly could whilst it could. Ulysses himself eventually did gain a little bit of control and together they lifted their mixed coloured head to peer through the foliage towards a slight noise that had been detected by sensitive ears.
He didn't know what it was but he trotted off in the direction of it none the less, not creeping, not sneaking, just stepping confidently through a territory that wasn't his but his wolf felt at home in none the less. Regardless of his own dominant stature he was still in control enough of himself that he was certain he wouldn't cause a problem for either of Manson's pack alpha's, not without just cause anyway.
It was actually nice to spend a lunch hour in this way, he had no appointments after lunch so there was no rush to get back to the office and yet he was due to stay on the grounds for at least a few more hours before he could clock out and head home to an evening of playing with his son. Something that he found himself looking forward too each and every day, he hated being away from the small boy but he knew at the same time that he needed this job in order to give the kid the best in life. Jackson was everything to him, the most important thing in his life right now, among other responsibilities of course. But, with the kid he was quite satisfied that his life had everything he could want in it. Daisy, Jackson and Bram, his dysfunctional little family.
He brushed through a particularly thick bush that snagged at his fur but there was no way around it, he had to go through to get to the clearing on the other side. It meant he emerged into the clearly looking slightly ruffled but he knows he'd heard something an his wolf, well, his wolf wanted somebody or something to be with.

It was tough but Dante knew he had to say goodbye to the twins… It had always been a case of doing what was best for them and currently that meant keeping them away from Manson and with their mother. Some time had passed since Sloane had left but the empathic being Dante still felt the absence of his family, which was partly why he had flown out into the forest. He needed to find a little peace, to forget that he would be missing out on birthdays because it was simply too dangerous to visit. As a creature of purity and light, Dante knew he attracted unsavoury types… With the kids getting older that danger just multiplied as they would be coming into powers.
Having landed with a thud in a clearing, Dante folded his wings behind himself but kept them in view and walked onwards. They were a as good for a shield as they were a quick getaway, not that Dante was too worried about being attacked out here. This smelt like pack grounds, Dante trusted the alphas created enough of a ‘stink’ to keep anyone with bad intentions away. That and he could fight, blast out a blinding light and take of at least. It wasn’t really in his nature to be physical unless tackling demonic forces.
Which was hardly what he sensed approaching now. No, the thoughts he read were curious ones, a bit animalistic but still human in nature so obviously a shifter. Stopping still, Dante turned slightly to look at the wolf, offering a friendly smile.
“Hello Ulysses.” He said, having read the man’s name from the background of his mind. It was a bad habit the angel was yet to break.
ooc: sorry its a bit short, wanted to try and get Dante going on something

Reena have been busy in her schedule Logan havent been around much and she was starting believe he have left her in the dark. Just like everyone have else have done. She was force to shift in her wolf form as she been avoiding it for few days now. She really hated it and kept thinking it was just a dream and she would wake up elsewhere. Her body always ache for months afterwards and she struggle onwards with her painting and teaching. She needed to step up another class this time around since the last one didn't go too well. The woods seemed to be quiet like they always have been. Her brown eyes watched the area around her. But suddenly she saw two people. One was the staff member here and another was someone she didnt know about. Reena kept herself hidden though and just watch the people in front of them.
(Sorry for the short post. Trying to get back into posting)

The thud had Lyss curious, it had sounded like something had fallen and he had to invetigate that, he couldn't not investigate. Somebody might be in trouble.. He hadn't expected to see what he did, he knew that there were angels around of course, he hadn't particularly spoken to any of them though. It made him a little too curious about the whole religion aspect of life and death and everything and that was a little too much for any mind really. Though, with a creature like Dante in front of him it was hard to deny that there was a heaven. Those wings for starters, they were truly something. He didn't think he could particularly say anything right now though, he didn't quite have the same vocal chords.
Could angels understand shifters? He guessed they'd find out..
The wolf paused in stepping forward when Dante's gaze landed on him and he sat his rump down on the floor and tilted his head to the side curiously, wondering how he knew who he was. 'Hello,' was the simple answer from the counsellor, his wolf wanted to approach and sniff at those wings, to store the scent in his memory but he was still very much human enough to know you can't just go ahead and start sniffing people you don't know. Regardless of whether or not they're in shifter territory, 'you know me?' Knowing that he was a little telepathic would make a lot more sense. Although he'd end up guarding his thoughts, not that he usually has any bad ones.
Ulysses could smell a lot of wolves around, so he never knew that Reena was nearby. He wasn't experienced enough as a shifter to know all the subtleties of being what he is, so far he's just taken it as he comes. So the other staff member went unnoticed, not ignored, her presence just hadn't registered with him.

Dante was very aware of everything around him as you can’t not be when you are empathic. The birds, the insects, somewhat even the people in the woods and back in the grounds were on his wavelength faintly. You might think it’d be noisy but Dante found it comforting, and he was fairly adept and switching off outside noise to focus on one thing much like people filter out noise when speaking to a person in a crowded room. Right now Lyss was the focus of the angels attention and so others faded into the background.
Being a guardian type of angel, Dante had to be well versed in languages and his empathic gift mixed with his age meant it really didn’t take a lot of effort to work out what Lyss was saying even in his wolf form. Looking the animal over Dante smiled a little as he picked up the wolf’s urge to sniff at his wings and almost gave him the chance to do so but hesitated as he was asked if he knew the other.
“Um, no… I just heard your name. Sorry. It is a bad habit.” Dante explained as he tapped his forehead to indicate that was something he could do if it wasn’t already obvious. “If you want, you can sniff my wings. You would not be the first…” he added with a grin, “Last time I promise.” he added and then gestured as if he was zipping his mind shut.

Reena was watching from a distance as she saw the others. This form was new to her and she can't control it properly and it was seem to be a dream to her. She would love to be normal and avoid this issue. Her bright almond eyes watched them and she was curious about the guy with wings. Reena never thought angels were real. True she use to believe them when she was kid and always thought there guardians in the world protecting her from harm, but she never met one. Not until now at least.
Using her dark brown fur coat she remained hidden from everyone, and kept watching them form a distance. Maybe in time she would come out form the hidden place and soicalzed. She was still trying to pluck up the courage and go to greet the alpha when she was in his pack meetings, but things were always in the way. Number one of these was fear.
(sorry for the shortness. Getting back used to her)

The gift of empathy wasn't something that Ulysses had ever given much thought too, purely because he'd not been around anybody who had the gift. Nor did he work closely with anybody of that sort either, so the wolf looked as surprised as a canine could when he'd been named, but once it was explained he let out a quiet chuff of a breath because that was just fine. If the angel couldn't exactly help it then who was he to complain too much? He has nothing dastardly to hide, the counsellor is more an open book than most. He did falter a little when Dante offered for him to sniff his wings though. Those things must have some kind of unique scent to them.. Unique, divine. Angels are pretty divine. But what does that smell like?
Lyss trotted towards Dante, giving him what he hoped was a 'it better be' look at his comment of it being the last time. Playfully of course, he wasn't annoyed with it in the slightest, which Dante would most likely know considering his gift. If anything Lyss was amused and incredibly curious.
He buried his nose in the soft feathers of the ends of Dante's wings, inhaling for a few moments before he had to quickly turn his head and sneeze out an unexpected sneeze, that had tickled his nose more than he'd thought it would do and he let out another little sneeze before shaking himself out. As if that was going to help anything. He did lick at his nose though, rough tongue kicking free the last of the itch. He still had things to learn, apparently his nose was ticklier than he thought.
'You smell like the air at dawn,' he found himself saying. A lot of people can't take compliments well, so he was hoping his own little sneezing blunder could be overlooked if he spoke the truth about what his brain associated with Dante's scent. There were the typical daily things too, undertones of things he must have brushed up against. But mostly is was what he'd said out loud, 'who are you? I'm quite sure we've ever met.' Which isn't unusual, Lyss doesn't see an unlimited amount of patients and there was a chance that this angel didn't require counselling at all, so not unusual at all really. He wouldn't be forgetting him quickly though, Dutch's wings were incredible. Dante's seemed almost otherwordly.
Not that he's jealous of the winged individuals at all, of course not.. Flight would be quite amazing though.
