This place was alright. Sure, he got knocked on the head a bit more often than he was used to, but aside from that everything was great. He was currently sat in the library with a bunch of books in front of him. Instead of opening them up and actually reading any of them though, he was merely running his hands along them, practicing his powers to see their history. He wasn't looking for anything in particular, he just wanted to know if there were any friendly types here that read books a well. One book in particular made him chuckle though. It had been used to smack someone across the face and it just amused him that someone would use books like this. It made him curious enough to pick it up and see what it was all about and was surprised that it was a book about plants. Somehow that was even more amusing. "Wonder what this one says," he mused aloud as he picked up a different book, focused on running his hands along the spine instead.

Liam was in the library hoping to scare somebody by knocking books off the shelves mysteriously or some other obtuse practical joke. He spotted a middle aged gentleman - well, he assumed and he knew what he did when he assumed things - with a large pile of books in front of him. He was obviously happy about something. He wondered if he should bother him and talk to him. He had to make some friends in this new place. He only wanted to be with Baylee but he promised himself he would appear to be making friends with others. Why not with some middle aged bloke? Liam walked up to the guy. "Hi." He said. "You going to read all those books? That's a great talent you have. And - " Liam looked at the binders of them all and noticed the variety of subjects. " - A very interesting group of books they are too."LUCIAN RORY CAMPBELL

These books were absolutely fascinating. After the one that had been used to smack someone across the face, he’d found on that had been used to stand on to kiss someone and it was hard not to get amused when he realized all the things these books were being used for other than reading. He would’ve thought people simply read books, not use them for all sorts of different things. “Great talent?” he asked, raising an eyebrow. Did he think reading all these books was a talent? He was sure he could’ve easily done it if that’s what his intentions were. “This one isn’t a book, apparently, it’s a bludgeoning device,” he said, putting aside the book that had been used to smack someone across the face previously. “This one’s a ladder,” he said, adding the second book onto the pile. “Not entirely sure I want to actually read either of them. Why do you ask?” Leaning back in his chair, he plopped his feet on the table. He was comfortable here.

Liam looked at the man in fascination. He was able to tell what happened with the books? “What a beautiful talent!” He let the words slip out of his mouth and become audible. “Can you tell why that book was used to hit someone and who it hit?” He stared at the other book. “And when you said that book was used as a ladder, do you mean it was piled up with other books or what do you mean?” Suddenly he remembered his manners. “Oh, I’m sorry. My name is Liam. It’s very nice to meet you.” He was a bit annoyed the man wasn’t scared of him. He was a ghost, after all. “Have you seen ghosts before? Are there many here?” How he hated this place!

Lucian really didn’t understand why this thing was bugging him while he was trying to amuse himself. He sure didn’t understand what was so fascinating about what he was doing or how he was doing it. “If I wanted to,” he replied simply. He didn’t feel a need to do so, however, so he wasn’t particularly inclined to share either. While he wasn’t scared of using his gifts however he wanted to, he didn’t care to share every detail with the first person he came across that found out he could do such a thing in the first place. “That is for me to know and you to merely guess,” he replied about the other book. He didn’t like nuisances. They reminded him too much of Lucy and what was left of the kid he’d accidentally possessed in the first place. Liam. The nuisance had a name, that was good to know. He’d be sure to ask someone who could deal with ghosts more proficiently to shut the kid up. “Lucian,” he replied, not understanding at all what was such a big deal about being a ghost. “You ask a lot of questions for a dead guy,” he replied instead. Smiling to himself as he ran his hand along another book. “And all the wrong sorts of questions too. I would know, I used to be just like you.”

Ok, so if he was asking all the wrong questions, what if he asked a useful question? He could always write off as a joke. He didn’t know if the powers that be in this joint would accept it as a joke, but that’s what he would call it if inquiried about it. “Ok Lucian, how can a ghost kill a human? Is that one of the right questions?” Liam asked, smiling. LUCIAN RORY CAMPBELL

This guy was unbelievable. Of all the things he could wonder about being a ghost, or how he himself had gotten to stop being a ghost, and he wanted to know how to kill someone? Lucian merely raised an eyebrow at the kid and returned to browsing the books in front of him. This was a library after all, if the guy had any skills whatsoever as a ghost, he should be able to read them himself. “Don’t accidentally possess a pregnant lady,” was all he said instead and made his hand go down through the table to scratch at his knee before he brought it back up through the table and proceeded to lounge back in his chair and throw his legs up at the table. He had all the time in the world to read these books. Or at least until his body perished, but that was another matter entirely. He wasn’t in any hurry to explore other options just yet. If he could get rid of the little kid, he’d be pleased, but mostly because it had been an accident to trap him like he had. Actually opening one of the books this time, Lucian smiled to himself when he found what appeared to be a homemade bookmark stuck between the pages. Memories of who had shared the chocolate the wrapping paper belonged to flooded his mind. It was kind of cute actually.
