Walking through the forest was getting a little more difficult now that Lottie's pregnancy had progressed to the point where she could no longer see her feet. The werewolf had a guard trailing after her through the shaded canopy of the forest floor, it wasn't as if she could outrun them at this stage and she doesn't think she'd have the energy too even if she could. It was so effortsome to do anything, and with that in mind she leant against a tree trunk and slid down to sit on the mossy floor with a little sigh of exhaustion. Her arms slid around her belly and she rested her head back against the trunk, opening her mouth and gesturing for her water bottle from the guard that she could hear approaching her from the side.
Lottie would be pleased when she was no longer being monitored so closely, the medical staff seemed to think she could go into labour at any point now but she was certain she still had time. Because now just didn't feel right to her. Either that or she just wasn't ready to say goodbye to the kicking weight in her tummy. Probably the latter.. The longer she keeps her child in her stomach the longer she gets to keep hold of it in some way and the least likely she is to have to try and kill somebody for trying to take the kid away.
She felt the cool, slight trickle of water into her mouth and she reached up to take the bottle from the man, she didn't trust anybody much with water around her apart from one man. And he wasn't here right now. So the bottle was hers and she sipped from it periodically as she just sat and rested.
"You'll need to return to the lawns soon," the guard spoke, he was mostly ignored but she knew why they wanted her there. It was monitored, there were cameras and it'd be a lot easier for the medical staff to get to her if needs be. But she was happier within the treeline. A lot happier, here there were scents that were soothing to the wolf and that was what was most important to her now. So she definitely ignored the guard, other than a small grunt that is.
"Can't you just leave me alone? They gave me a book about the baby thing.. It'll take hours when it begins, I promise I'll call for help if anything happens? Just.. Fuck off," she sounded mildly exasperated as she opened her eyes to glare up at the man she didn't even know the name of. He stared back at her for a long few moments before taking a few steps back and trudging back the way they came. She could still smell him someplace nearby, but she could no longer see him and that was good enough for now.
Finally. Some peace.

A familiar *POP* *POP* *POP* would be heard behind Lottie, followed by the sickening, sucking sound of ripping flesh. A headless body fell from behind a tree, Aaron stepping out with the former guards hair clutched in his fists. He was filthy, and covered with blood. It took a while, but he convinced his own guard to let him see Lottie....then killed him once they made it out. Now, he killed the other one- and all for a good reason, in his mind. He swallowed, eyes coming down to her baby bump then back up to her.
"No one will take my kid from me. Not again. Come on."
Assuming she came toward him, he'd reach down and snap off her tracker quick and hard, then take her hand and lead her into the forest. He fully intended on helping her deliver the baby himself, and he would simply live as a woodsman, protecting his child and once old enough, letting them visit Lottie. Or....perhaps she'd stay too. Either way, he sure as shit wasn't about to let the state or some private company get their grubby fingers on his baby boy or girl. He would speak over his shoulder.
"Do you know of a safe place in these woods? Away from that facility?"

She watched the flood of blood fall from the guard's neck with curiousity. There would once have been a time when she'd have drank that down and quite possibly have danced around with the headless corpse as she feasted, but without the bloodthirst of the vampire she just sat there and looked up to Aaron as he came aroun the tree, "hello," she chirped brightly enough, a smile that matched her tone curved to her lips and she lifted her hand in a small wave, "you look like you've been busy," she continued to talk as she pushed herself up using the tree to help balance her as whilst she got to her feet, "they get awfully mad if you go around popping off the staff's heads you know, not many people can come back from that, even around he- oh!"
Her eyes widened and she stopped speaking when his hands took hold of her tracker and snapped the thing off like it were made of nothing more than paper. The werewolf was too puzzled by what was happening right now to take real note of what he was going on about, that and she was stumbling along after him as he lead her forward. However, when he looked back and asked that question she dug her heels into the dirt and attempted to wrench her hand out of his hold.
If she managed it she'd cross her arms over her chest and stand there looking as defiant as a heavily pregnant woman could, staring daggers at the killer before her as electricity sparked off of her at random points, "I do. I know the forest all the way to the border walls. But I can tell you one thing," she stated matter of factedly and reached forward to prod him sharply in the chest, "I am not, and I repeat, am not, walking there! Do you have any idea how much my feet hurt? No. No you don't. 'Cause you're just thinking about yourself."
She broke off in a muttered little ramble about selfish men and not asking about lady's feelings.

Aaron sniffed, running a hand back through his bloody hair.
"No busier than usual. And they can get as angry as they want- they're the ones trying to take my baby away."
When they stopped, he turned back to his with a confused frown. She didn't want to walk? He stepped forward and would very easily lift her up, scooping her into his arms and taking off at a heavy sprint deeper into the forest. The normal things he'd trip over simply snapped or crushed under his feet, the big guy stomping down to prevent falling with her in his arms.
"Tell me where to go, where we won't be found. That way....you can have the child, and nobody will take them from us. Included Fabian."
A cave. A meadow. Somewhere deep in the wilderness where nobody would venture, where they wouldn't be found.

She made a pleased squeak of happiness when he scooped her up like that and her arms instinctively wrapped around his shoulders and neck. He had won good points in her mind by not arguing with her and simply doing as she requested. However, the heavy sprint wasn't exactly the most comfortable way to move through the forest, it would make a lot more sense for her to shift and run herself but then he wouldn't be able to understand a single word that she says and shifting back into human form is a little difficult to do within a couple of hours..
She stayed quiet, content enough to be carried. To be honest she quite enjoyed having somebody so close to her, to feel his warmth against her as she curled into him. But she was alert enough to point out the correct way to go to get to the little place that she called her own, the subterranean cave system that she'd had made for her by one of the geomancer's of Manson.. Of course she wasn't going to divulge that piece of information, but the place was big enough for even him to stand up straight and move around with ease. She'd even managed to sneak a couple of quilts out to the forest to store in the dry cavern..
"Almost there," she spoke eagerly after a good ten minutes, the dark haired woman wriggled in his grip until he released her, the child in her stomach kicked out against him as she slid down his body to the ground but she paid no heed to that and wandered around the slightly thicker foliage that masked the entrance to her secret place before she slipped through and let out a little triumphant giggle, "found it! I haven't been here for a week or so, it's hard to walk so far with this tummy, and my ankles get all swollen.. But come see!"
She'd disappeared down a small but wide enough tunnel that lasted only a meter before opening up into a circular room that she was in the process of lighting up with electricity that sparked from her body. It was good enough to help her find the matches and the few candles she also had stored. This probably hadn't been what Aaron had had in mind, but she liked this place. It was good for her.
"What do you think?"
A twinge in her belly made her pause in striking a match but she continued after a few moments and awaited his answer. He was good in her books.. Especially if he somehow managed to make sure that she got to keep her baby, that was a dream she had begun to give up on. If he managed this then he'd have won her over for life.

Aaron was stronger than she gave him credit for. He was holding her against his body, sure, but he wasn't letting the motion of his body dictate her movement. He held her aloft with his arms, letting his thighs absorb the shock of their weight....so she was held startlingly still, his arms bearing her burden as though she was a child. This allowed him to move at an incredible pace, the big man using his strength to launch them forward as he moved through the trees like a blend of ballet dancer and an Olympic sprinter. As she said they were almost there, he shifted direction as she ordered and made his way there, slowing to a stop outside the opening and gently setting her down.
His eyes looked over the opening to the cave, then to the trees beyond. They'd be good cover, and he could break some down some trees to build a door of logs. They'd be difficult for anyone to rip into without powers- speaking of wolves and vamps. He could also look for a boulder, one big enough that would be hard even for him to move, and get it in front of the entrance. The forest would be a good place for him to hunt too. He nodded at her question.
"This is great. You can stay here and have the child, I will assist. Then....I will live here with them, or you will, while the other goes back to try and convince them to let us return and keep the child."
He moved into the cave, using his hands along the side to remove dirt and dust and cobwebs. Cleaning. If a Queen was going to stay here, he needed to make it as appropriate as possible. As...royal, as possible. Because a prince or princess was coming into this world, and they deserved a real home, not some dingy cell or the question of who their parents were that they'd have to wrestle with for the rest of their life.

When the cave was created she'd wanted a seperate room for her to sleep in. So as she wandered around the area lighting the candles she ended up revealing the sizable space in which she disappeared into to strike a candle to life in there. Lottie's face lit up by the flaming stick of wax and the tip of her tongue stuck out as she carefully slipped it back onto the small shelf, there was a small pipe that led up to the ground above so smoke could escape so she wasn't worried about that. She turned to the folded stack of blankets that were placed on another shelf and sniffed to make sure that no critters had invaded them. She hadn't smelt anything in the main room and as far as she was aware nothing escaped her sense of smell.
"You're going to be my midwife?" She asked, she sounded as amused as she looked in that moment and she wandered back to where he was, but took a seat on the compacted floor rather than approaching him. Was he cleaning? With his hands?
"You think they'll let us keep it?" Lottie's hand slipped over the swelling of her stomach, the baby beneath her palm reacted and kicked out gently. Or nudged with an elbow, whatever it was there was an obvious little push against her palm. It made her smile wistfully, "that would be nice.. I don't think I'd let it down, and it'll love me. Right? Children always love their mothers," and she is desperate for anybody to look at her with nothing but love in their eyes.
"I think you should go though, nobody ever listens to me," because of obvious reasons, she has a tendency to go off on rants that have nothing to do with anything. Not to mention she isn't the most reasonable of people, plus, if she comes across Fabian she'll pretty much do anything that he tells her too because she's a good, upstanding member of the pack and the alpha's word is law, "and you can't feed it.. There's no milky powder stuff out here, I would have found it before. And.. They'll shut me back in my room too. So, me going makes no sense."
Plus she doesn't want to go and leave her baby, she still doesn't know him well enough to trust him entirely, who's to say he won't run away as soon as she leaves?
