Bram wouldn’t call it stealing… Stealing was taking something that did not belong to you and you had not paid for.
No, there was a difference between stealing and just ‘finding’ something that had been abandoned and so deciding you would claim it for yourself. ‘Finders keepers.’ Bram said to himself as he shoved something small and furry under his shirt and then after a quick look around to make sure that nobody had seen him take anything (not that it would matter if they did since this was not in anyway stealing at all…) he flashed away from the back ally between a few houses, cradling his waist carefully and kept going until he was at the edge of the pack grounds.
Bram didn’t really want to be near the academy when he did not have to be but he had to get a hutch of some kind and he assumed Manson might have something laying around or at least something that would do in the meantime… He guessed he could just let it hop around home but he didn't want the bunny getting hurt, going into town wasn't an option since shops were closed this late and as Bram knew, stealing was wrong so he couldn't just break into a pet shop.
Removing the small bunny from under his shirt, Bram held it up and grinned at it. The hybrid had no clue what kind of bunny it was but the fur was black like his own and kind of spiky like his own. ‘Was meant to be.’ he thought with a smile and only then noticed it seemed to be wearing a collar… A frown crossed Bram’s face, followed by a pout, a tiny bubble of anger and a small threat of bursting into tears but then he just took it off and threw the collar into a bush.
“Bram’s bunny now.” he said with a grin and then held it against his chest, wondering where he could put the yet unnamed bunny where he or she (Bram had no clue how to tell) would be safe so he could find a cage for it.

Something about being told there was a curfew just rubbed her the wrong way, but Ella had managed to argue that sleeping through the night wasn't really natural to her. Not just because she was part feline, but because she wasn't actually a shifter so she was more feline than human in most things. So she was outside hunting. Of course, her prey was way smaller than what the pack around these parts were hunting. She had found herself a plump little mouse to chase down.
Ella wasn't particularly hungry though so she decided to bring the mouse and leave it outside of some office when she got back inside, so for now she was merely carrying it around in her mouth as she walked through the woods. Until she was hit in the face with something and dropped it as a high-pitched meow escaped her and she jumped because she was caught off guard. Picking up the mouse again, she was surprised to discover it was merely a collar and headed towards where it had come from.
She placed the mouse down again when she saw the man with the bunny. "Cute," she said, sitting down to groom her paws for a moment.

Where would Manson keep a bunny sized cage? Bram’s first guess would be the Secure Facility but he really did not want to be hunting around there and doubted they would be very generous with sharing things anyway, so where else might have something? Looking around the area Bram thought a moment longer and then glanced down to the bunny, “Workshop?” he asked it curiously and was about to walk on to the building when a cat came out of the bushes. Bram was too busy and focused on his new pet to notice her scent approaching but now he had, he froze a little.
“Mine.” He replied back gripping the creature a little tighter, eyes focused to the small feline and then the mouse she seemed to have. She had a pet even if it did look dead, he didn’t want her having his bunny… Comments like ‘cute’ were how bunny-nappings start, probably.

Workshop? Oh! Right. That was the building whose roof she'd tried to sleep on the other day and been so unceremoniously tossed off of by that rude boy. She didn't know what he was after, but they probably had whatever it was he needed in there, or a way to make it. This guy must be really smart, even if his scent confused her for a moment.
"Wasn't gonna eat it," she replied, a little offended he'd seemed to assume she wanted his bunny. She'd just wanted a closer look at it, or at least figure out why he was throwing collars at people's heads. Instead of yelling at him though, she merely got back to making sure her paws were nice and clean for a moment. "Got food," she said, once she was satisfied. "Wasn't hungry. Now it's a present." She might just leave it on the roof if she was being honest. A little 'gift' for the shifter that had been so insufferable.
"Need a hand?" she asked. "With the workshop I mean, so you don't have to put the bunny down." She was heading there anyway, so if he was going there, might as well tag along since it was on her way back to her room.

Bram wasn’t sure he believed this mini-cat when she said she would not eat his bunny-rabbit, she was a feline after all even if she was smaller than most he saw around here. So his grip did not loosen and he just eyed her carefully, fully ready to swat her back into the bushes where she came from if he needed too. This bunny was going to be his new pet, his own little baby, something to practice being a papa-wolf with since he knew he was never going to have a proper mini-Bram. “Good. Bunny is not food.” He said anyway with just a hint of warning and then looked to the mouse she had again.
So the mouse wasn’t food either but a gift? Bram almost asked who would want a dead mouse but then remembered he had left dead foxes for Alpha and Daisy a couple of times, not so much as a present but more to show he could kill the stupid animals with the logic they might be proud he could get rid of such an annoying pest. “Oh… Hope they like it.” he said, any anger he had soon fading as the fur ball wriggled in his grip. Name, he would have to name it soon… Maybe Alpha knew some good ones?
Bram made a mental note to ask him later, but if he wanted help now though was another matter, Bram sort of knew it would be useful but he wasn’t completely trusting this woman yet, he supposed so long as he was the one that always had hands or eyes on bunny then mini-cat could do the actual looking around the workshop. “Alright, but thats all you help with.” he said and started to walk off towards the building. “I’m Bram, this is just Bunny for now.” he said with a grin, making an effort to be friendly. As much as he was a bit distrustful of the cat, she seemed to be pretty in tune with he feline self… it was something he could appreciate so long as the hunter bit was kept in check.

She couldn’t blame him for being protective over the bunny, but if she was being perfectly honest with herself she’d always found bunnies a little too big for her small frame. Smaller birds and rodents, sure, but it seemed almost cruel to hunt bunnies when they would most likely suffer for a while. That said... bunny napping for owners for a different matter. Thankfully, she didn’t have anyone who considered her their cat, so the bunny was safe. “Bunny is too big for me,” she said simply, wanting him to know that anyway. He smelled somewhat canine so it seemed best to be on his good side. Sure, she likes to torment regular dogs, but she tended to be careful with shifters of any kind when they were canine. Smarter than regular dogs after all.
“Probably won’t appreciate it,” she admitted. People were never happy when she brought them dead or injured animals, but that had always been part of the appeal. Especially if she got more treats as a result to try to keep her from hunting. This time she was going to leave it just to prove that she wasn’t going to let herself be scared off.
Ella nodded when she was informed she could come help out as long as she didn’t get close to the bunny. She didn’t particularly want to get too close anyway so it all worked out fine. “I’m Ella,” she replied. “My humans named me when I was just a kitten. People here don’t seem to appreciate having a good home owning people.” Technically, she was the pet in those scenarios, but she felt like she owned the humans more than they owned her. When he started walking, she picked up the mouse again to follow him.

Whether Bunny really was too big or this kitty was just saying that to gain trust, Bram was not too sure and planned to still be a little protective anyway. Sure he might have ‘found’ the fluff ball and sort helped himself to it, but that didn’t mean he wanted someone else doing the same, whether it be because they thought the bunny was abandoned or because they saw it as a tasty snack. Being on the pack grounds Bram thought it more likely he meet someone who saw bunnies as hopping takeaways rather than friends.
Bram stared down to the cat as she said that her gift probably would not be appreciated, it made him wonder why bother gifting it at all, unless it was meant to be a joke or send a message. The hybrid decided to not get too involved, he had other things to focus on like finding a home for Bunny. “Not everyone does, don’t know why.” he said with a shrug, thinking back to his own half dead/eaten presents he left around, but Alpha and Daisy seemed to and that was all that matters to him.
A wolf, holding a bunny, talking to a kitty-cat…. If there was any hint that Bram was finding this whole meeting odd then he did not show it, really he was far more comfortable talking to another shifter than he was a person particularly if said shifter was as in tune to their animal as he was. The walking around as an animal, paw licking, it just looked natural to him, even if she appeared as a human with a mouse in her mouth and licking herself he still would not have found it strange as it was things he did as a human too.
Walking on Bram nodded herring her name back, not that he recognised it in the slightest so guessed she was either new or they had just never crossed paths before. His attention was gained a little more as she spoke about humans naming her though, it was just the phrasing of more than anything, more so the home owning people part.
“Oh…” he said a little surprised but then grinned. “I got three owners!” There was real pride in the statement, but having gone from none to that number, who wouldn’t be happy about it? Bram saw himself and was happy to be the owned rather than the owner, unlike Ella who seemed to see her position as the one owning the humans, Bram didn’t pick up on that fact. In his head he found another person with a similar outlook to himself. “But yeah, people don’t appreciate it… Usually I get corrected for saying it.” Now he thought, humans did not appreciate a lot of things... Dead animal presents or being owned by someone.
Focusing back on ahead Bram made sure not to move too fast and soon got to the workshop, outside he could already see boxes but what he really needed was a crate of some kind.

It was nice to meet someone who didn't question why she brought dead things as gifts and just accepted that it could be given as a gift without everyone having to understand why. She understood it, that was what mattered, but she appreciated others understanding too. Appreciated how he wasn't questioning her logic and rather seemed to accept it.
Ella smiled to herself when she learned that Bram had three owners. That was amazing. She would respond to that once they reached the workshop though, because if she tried now, she’d have to put the mouse down and she didn’t want to do that just yet. It would probably get left behind and she’d have to go to all the trouble of finding it again and that was just a hassle.
When they reached the workshop though, she put it down and shifted to the point where she was almost human except for the tail. “Three owners is amazing,” she said, kneeling down a little to look at the lock better. “I was born a kitty. People still confuse me.” Even after all this time, she wasn’t getting any wiser when it came to people so she preferred playing with them. “Need something small, a needle or thin stick or something if you want to look inside,” she concluded, realizing she wasn’t going to be able to get the lock open with her claws.

When they reached the workshop Bram noticed that Ella had shifted to her human body or mostly shifted to it, she still seemed to posses a tail but the hybrid did not blink at the sight any more than he had at the fact had been washing herself and carrying a dead mouse for a present. If anything the only reason he spent a moment staring was because he the sight amused him and he wondered if he could partial shift too, it was something he had never thought to try. Of full moons the wolf took over, the rest of the time he just acted very wolfy with literal flashes of the vampire as he darted around and took advantage of its speed and durability to get through the night in one piece. ‘Bet you would look sexy as a half-shifted wolfy, human vampire’ he thought to himself and then refocused to Ella.
Having gone from one ‘owner’ to quite rapidly being told he was actually just ‘one of many’ and not truly owned by anyone, Bram would agree that yes, having three now was amazing, pretty damn brilliant really. “I know, right?” he said, enthusiasm clear in his voice. He had almost claimed to have four but Bram didn’t think a baby could really own anyone and so three it was, Alpha, Daisy and Louis, the psy-vamp being the newest to say it. It was something he felt he should maybe clarify at some point, knowing he had been fairly wasted that night they yelled all about it from Carpe’s rooftop and Louis seemed like he was high on something too, but for now Bram was claiming him as a third. “Didn’t have anyone before.” he added on with a more thoughtful tone just to make it clear he wasn’t meaning to boasting about it, just be really pleased about it. He knew what it was like to have nothing and nobody.
“Bram was born a wolf, apparently but… I don’t remember that.” he said with a small shrug. All memories before teen years were nonexistent, he didn’t know why but blamed it on the slave life and one too many knocks to the head. But he could sympathies not understanding people too much, at least the human idea of modesty.
Moving closer he looked to the workshop door and frowned a little, stick wise he only had his drumsticks but he didn’t want her having them anymore than he wanted her having Bunny, he figured they be too think anyway if she had lock picking in mind…
“This work?” he said taking off a safety pin from his jeans and holding it out. Sometimes having a punky style was really useful.

If she didn’t have to blend in and pretend to be human, Ella always felt more at ease when she had her tail. She was used to it and it helped her out a lot with balance even in human form. Besides, she liked how the fur felt against her skin. She wasn’t bothered in the slightest that she didn’t have clothes though because they were overrated anyway. Only reason she put clothes on daily was to make other people comfortable, so she appreciated the canine for not making a fuss about the lack of it. It really was more comfortable without it.
Even if Ella tended to think she owned the people who claimed her as a pet, she could appreciate how much nicer it was to have someone to claim in the first place. Or be claimed by. It was that feeling of belonging somewhere she appreciated the most out of those kinds of relationships. “Having someone is always better,” she agreed. She definitely wasn’t going to correct him on owners because she tended to agree with him that it was better than being alone.
He was born a wolf? Probably born a shifter and not a literal wolf though, right? Seemed more likely anyway. Ella grinned slightly when he offered the safety pin. “It’s perfect,” she said, pressing her ear to right above the lock before using her claw to keep tension and gently poking the safety pin around until the door finally clicked open.
“Easy peasy,” she said, grinning slightly and handed the pin back. It was slightly bent, but hopefully it would still work for his clothes. “Got caught stealing from someone who works here, apparently kitty with golden bracelet didn’t fool them,” she said, chuckling slightly. Holding the door open for him, she picked up the mouse with her tail just to keep track of it before she leaned against the door to make sure it remained open.
“You’re alright, for a canine,” she said. “Usually don’t like wolves too much. Probably because the ones I’ve met have been a little more aggressive.”

If he hadn’t been into town, Bram would likely be sans-clothing right now, probably trying to get some balance between his wolf and human body too just to see if he could, but as it turned out, wearing something tonight not only stopped the local police from pulling up alongside him to question where his clothes were (Alpha warned that could happen) but also gave him the method to get into the workshop. Or it gave Ella the method… Quite easily too, it briefly made him wonder where she learned to do such a thing but decided it was maybe best not to ask. Besides, this probably was not stealing either or really breaking and entering, it was an emergency, they had to get something to keep a bunny safe. Doing questionable things in an emergency was forgivable.
Grinning he took the pin back and fastened it to his pants again and then looked to bunny. “Gonna get you a house.” he said with a smile and then focused to Ella as she said she got caught stealing from somebody here before. It seemed likely she was here for thieving then, not that it changed Bram’s judgement that this was all perfectly legit. “Thank you.” he said as he walked through the door, as politeness never hurt anyone. “Just once? Thought could forgive that.” he said, seemed a bit much to bring a person to Manson over, especially someone who is clearly more kitty than person, what harm could Ella really do?
Looking around the area, Bram’s eyes easily adjusted to the lighting and he set to trying to find something. “Oh course, Bram is awesome.” he said factly, “Not totally a wolf either, am a hybrid. And not a monster.” he added, the last part said with a bit more firmness than the rest, but all meant he felt she had no reason to not like him. “And I like you. I like cats generally, and bunnies now. This one.” He couldn’t say he hadn’t eaten others in the past. .

Ella knew they were lucky the this place seemed to use old-fashioned keys and not the electronic ones they used inside. She figured maybe because there wasn’t anything worth stealing in here. And if she'd known Bram justified it as an emergency, she would've totally agreed. Finding a safe home for a bunny was definitely an emergency. It wasn't wrong if it was an emergency, he had that right. Though she always thought it was an emergency when she saw something pretty that she just had to have.
"Might've been a string of people missing some things before I got caught," she admitted. "But then that's usually what happens when I don't have a good home. Get bored, take stuff because it's pretty." Ella didn't really see anything wrong with it, she needed to make sure she had food and clothing somehow after all. She didn't have a permanent home after all, never really had somewhere that was just hers. Her stuff had somewhat been stored somewhere safe between adopting families for a while. Just within her reach for when she wanted to be human.
"Didn't think you were a monster," she said, though she was surprised to learn he was a hybrid. That somewhat explained that other scent and why he wasn't quite as canine as the other wolves she'd met in the past. "Monsters wouldn't be looking for homes for cute bunnies." She figured she should probably give him a reason why she didn't think he was a monster, in case he didn't believe that she believed him just from her first statement alone. "I'm more cat than human, but then I'm classed as a cat demon, so guess that makes sense. I'm a spoiled kitten really." She wasn't ashamed of that. She liked treats and if someone gave her plenty of treats and affection, she'd be their best friend because she'd benefit from it.

One, a string… It didn’t make much difference to Bram. He still thought Ella was more good than bad if she was helping him and not trying to attack or eat Bunny. So a few people had a few things go missing, so what? Bram didn’t get the impression she would be able to steal anything too big, not like a tv or a car. Anyway, he had a drum kit stolen for him so he didn’t feel he could really comment as far as having someone else goods went. “I get that. Sometimes the colours are too awesome, too.” he said with a nod, and just because he hadn’t actually stolen anything himself (well, other than people…) didn’t mean he hadn’t been tempted by the idea in the past. Some things are just too shiny to not at least think about it.
Bram gave a smile hearing Ella didn’t think he was a monster, despite many now telling him that he still felt a need to clarify just to remove any trace of doubt that might linger since he knew he shared blood with two of the more beastly things out there. “Other part is vampire.” he said since he hadn’t explained what the other part was though it might have been guessed.
Cat demon though, was that a thing? It had to be a thing if that was what Ella is. Staring to her a moment, Bram then refocused on finding something for Bunny. “People say Bram is more wolf than vampire or human. I think it’s true… and all cats are spoiled.” he said while rooting around some boxes one-handed, only meaning it in a joking way, but from what he seen they do walk around like they own the place they they walk on and expect to be admired. Daisy for sure was possessive about things since being a cat but then he guessed it could be pregnancy related, the two things happened kind of close together. Bram knew he was possessive too though but it was really only related to his drum kit and sticks.

On a good day, she might be able to pass for human thanks to the shifters that had first found her, but Ella had never really figured out how to live among people. Sure, she’d had relationships here and there, more out of convenience than anything else, but she’d usually posed as both the house-pet and the girlfriend at the same time. Spending the time she was meant to be looking for a job, or working, as a cat to avoid having to actually do it. Maybe spending a little time here could teach her how to function as a human being and how to better integrate into society. Maybe even find her own place eventually. It wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world.
“I suppose learning how to better pass for human wouldn’t be a bad thing. Maybe that’s why I was brought here rather than just let go. Not like people really use the things they store in jewelry boxes all that often, so seems a bit unreasonable otherwise.” Life was just so much simpler as a cat, but she couldn’t spend the rest of eternity just being people’s pet from time to time, she should probably find something to do with her time that made a little more sense.
Oh. He was a vampire too? Well, that certainly explained why she kinda liked him. She didn’t mind vampires. In many ways, they tended to be rather feline in behavior from her experience so she felt right at home with them. “That can’t be easy,” she said, giving him a soft smile. It seemed like it could lead to conflicting instincts after all. “But it’s awesome, can’t say I’ve ever met anyone like you before.”
Spoiled? Should she take offense at that? Probably. But she didn’t. She loved being spoiled with snacks and pets and just general affection. “Nothing better than being spoiled,” she said, chuckling slightly. “Nothing wrong with being more animal than person either.” Ella knew she couldn’t judge him for being more wolf than human because she tended to forget at times that humans didn’t rub up against one another for greetings.

Bram didn’t think he could ever pass as a human, sure he looked human enough but with the not being able to go out in any kind of daylight, mixed with going a little bit manic under any kind of moonlight, he could hardly live like a human and he knew those things were at least in part, the only reason he was allowed out on his own. He wasn’t a danger but there was little more Manson could do but keep an eye on things.
“Maybe. They do teach things here, and have a thing about people taking stuff even if it is stuff others are not using and don’t really need.” Bram started to say with a smile but then frowned, suddenly thinking it was more important to keep his bunny safe in case they did not believe it had been abandoned. “Don’t help if you pee on things, either.” Bram didn’t know if cats did that to claim items but he thought he share the tip that it was pointless.
But he didn’t want to go into details about his own time at Manson or fact he was technically an out-patient, just one on a really long lead. Ella seemed to have all her brains in one place so Bram had no reason to think she wouldn’t be let out again soon enough.
As for being a vampire not being easy, Bram gave a shrug. It was all he had known for so long now that he figured not being one would be harder now. “I look at the plus points.” he said with a nod, tried to most of the time anyway, and it only helped when others pointed out how awesome he was. “Bram is unique.” he said with a smug smile, well, he knew there were likely other hybrids around, probably other wolf-vampire ones but he never met any.
Still looking around Bram then paused feeling Bunny wriggling around, “Is ok, I like being spoiled too. Grooming sessions and stuff.” he said with a smile getting a firmer grip on the mini fluff ball. “Bunny will be spoilt.” Best home, best carrots or whatever else bunny rabbits eat.
Pulling out something that looked like a big wood crate Bram held it up a little. “Maybe Alpha can fix it?” he said, thinking out loud now as he looked it over and one broken slat.
