Needles didn't hurt at all.
It had taken a few times but the nymph had managed to find a vein in the crook of her arm and now, twenty-five minutes later she was sat cross legged on a bed in a shut room poking gently at the bloodbag in front of her to check whether or not it was full enough for her to finish this up. It wasn't, the bag was around three quarts of the way full and she was losing a little patience. The red head wasn't supposed to be here doing this, there was a reason why there wasn't a nurse helping her out and it was most definitely because the person she was getting this blood for was a resident. She chewed on her lower lip as she made a fist with her hand and relaxed it again repeatedly, anything to get the watered down, almost pinkish blood flowing a little faster.
She was doing this out of the goodness of her heart (and because she was threatened with the death of her platypi) but she honestly didn't mind too much. The vampire who'd threatened her had seemed somewhat desperate, she pitied that and most likely would have done this if she'd been simply asked. There had been no need for threats. The vampire hadn't hurt her, despite the obvious desire to do so, and so she could be forgiving.
Kaia's gaze suddenly moved to the door and she reached out to pull the curtain a little bit across so she'd be hidden from view from the doorway at least. Of course, not having a great sense of smell herself she wasn't really thinking that she could probably be quite easily smelt, but even if somebody did come along. She was an adult, it wasn't as if she was doing anything criinally wrong.
Not even morally. She's not selling it, therefore not selling herself. Was giving it away for free worse? Hm.

ALARIC MASON
_______________________ Alaric haven’t done much since he got his job back. He lost his girlfriend doing this and it was beginning look it wasn’t worth it at all. He was getting fed up now. He was getting pulled into drinking again. He was feeling that he lost everything right now. He hasn't seen her since they had the break up either. Medical centre was now his home for now until his shift ended, and it was really quiet too. Not many patients come to the place, as he sat on the desk.
Suddenly he saw that one of the treatment rooms was being used. Alaric didn’t know there was anyone using them and he looked opened the door, and saw that it was another staff member. “Oh sorry I didn’t know you were here. I thought the room wasn’t being used. Did you sign in?” He asked her and waited for her reply back.

Lucy was excited. It was a long time since he'd gotten to play this much and someone had left little cars in a treatment room. Or he'd brought them, he didn't really know, he just knew he'd woken up there and had happily been playing with them in quiet on one of the beds behind a curtain, completely unaware of the nymph in the next bed over until someone spoke.
Dropping the cars, he walked over to the people and poked his head through the man's chest to get a better look at the woman. "You're so pale!" he exclaimed. "Are you a ghost?" Personal space and boundaries didn't really occur to him, and phasing through people was sometimes just the best way to get to where he wanted to go. After asking his questions, he proceeded to step all the way through the man and over to the bed. "Why you giving blood?" he asked, pointing to the bag. "Someone sick?"

Kaia stared at her curtain when she head the door open and the nymph waited those few moments lookig slightly guilty, but then Alaric appeared and she relaxed noticably when he didn't instantly start telling her off. He clearly didn't know that she was doing something that she shouldn't really be doing. Which is odd considering that she doesn't believe there are many people in Manson who are asked or allowed to volunteer to give blood. Especially a nymph like herself. But she smiled warmly at Alaric, the perfect picture of innocence despite having a needle in her arm with a tube leading to a partially full bloodbag.
"I didn't realise I needed to sign in," she answered him honestly and managed to look a little bit abashed at that, she wasn't bothered about what she was doing so much, more worried she'd get into trouble for not signing in now. What did she had to sign in for? Her wrist band would register that she'd entered the medical center and at what time she'd done so too. Not that her being around here was too odd, she was a healer..
She was about to say something else about how she'd sign in the next time but then a head appeared through Alaric's chest and startled her so much that she flinched backwards onto the bed, green eyes wide. If anybody was paying attention they'd have noticed the water in a cup on the nightstand jump a couple of feet into the air before landing neatly without a splash back into the cup when she realised Alaric's innards hadn't burst out of his middle. Was this other guy a ghost of some kind?
Then he went and accused her of being a ghost, her mouth opened and closed a couple of times before she managed to find her voice, "uh.. No.. No I'm not a ghost, I'm.. I'm a nymph and-" then the guy stepped through Alaric and she blinked in confusion, "I'm being a good friend. Are you a ghost?" He was more ghost like, stepping through somebody like that.

Lucy giggled when the water in the cup jumped like that. That was awesome! Could she do it again? He was about to ask when she went on to explain what she was and returned his question on him. Moving a little bit closer, he gently poked her foot. “I’m gifted,” he replied. “I just turned six, and I look like a giant, isn’t that weird?” He was leaning on the wall, completely solid this time. She seemed so nice, he should probably refrain from phasing through her. Besides, he wanted to see the water trick again and he should probably be nice if he wanted to ask for that.
“Can you make the water dance again?” He asked, his eyes practically gleaming with excitement. People here were awesome! Mostly. Looking at the guy for a moment, he gave him somewhat of a childlike smile. “Sorry about walking through you. Mam says it’s rude.” With that, all his attention was back at the redhead. “Why do you give blood to your friend if nobody’s sick?” He was genuinely curious though and didn’t much care to wait his turn with this grown man.
Normally, he would probably have poked the woman and asked all sorts of questions at once or been a proper nuisance, but she seemed so nice. And he didn’t think she’d ever show off her gifts again if he made her overly uncomfortable or annoyed her too much. “If we meet again, I might not be me anymore. They tell me I’m mostly someone else, but I don’t really know why or how.”

Alaric wasn’t really in a working mood. He was suffering from heartache, from a break up. He should have known it wouldn’t last, due to him being a staff and she was a resident. Still Alaric was hoping for something to be there still. He was only working to take his mind off the situation. He was attempted to drink again, even though he knew what happened when he went down that road. He shook his head at the other staff member. “No it’s ok. Your band would register anyway” he couldn’t be bothered with the paperwork. “Why are you in the medical centre. Who is the patient for blood?” he expects it to be a patient, he didn’t know what else it could be. Alaric didn’t take little notice of the other presence, as he started to register the blood, as he wasn’t going to get in trouble for something that’s not supposed to be here. He lost his job once and he wasn’t going to do it again.
