The guard had not yet intervened, without shifting Kole wasn't exactly harmless, but he had no claws or sharp teeth in human form and the man had a decent amount of fear for hurting himself without realising it. He could quite literally bleed to death and be completely unawares until his vision began to fade and his body became difficult to move, so perhaps there had been no reason for the guard to intervene.. But then, he might not have been paying all too much attention either because as Kole hunkered down to pounce he heard the man clear his throat in what was a clear warning. Not that he paid the guy any attention whatsoever, the cat had it's prey within reach and it wanted it more than anything.
So he pounced. And hadn't expected her to drop off of the roof like that to safely fall to the ground below.
There was a moment of panic when she disappeared like that and he would have backtracked if he could have done but the leopard was midair and had no way of stopping himself from going over the edge of the roof himself. So this was going to hurt. He was a cat, he always landed on his feet but he hadn't really expected to be jumping off of a roof like this and even in the few seconds it took to go crashing to the floor the leopard was quite aware that something would end up giving in his body. Be that a bone or a muscle ripping from it's mooring to a bone.. He wouldn't know for absolute sure until his guard escorted him to the medical center for a check up.
Collision came quickly enough and Kole collapsed onto the grass even though his front paws had hit the floor first. If he ended up with broken bones he wasn't going to be very warm towards Ella the next time he saw her, unless, of course, the warmth was the heat of his mouth closing around her throat.
Kole tried to push himself up from where he was sprawled awkwardly on the floor and his front right leg gave way immediately, his guard crouched at his side and placed a hand upon his back which just caused the leopard to snarl out a warning. But he wouldn't be biting another member of staff anytime soon, he was still feeling the restrictions from having mauled that stupid witch woman. But his gaze did look back to search for Ella and if he found her she'd see nothing but a burning hatred in the meadow green of his eyes. He'd get his own back somehow..
All he'd wanted was to lay in the sun for a couple of hours. Now his place, his favourite spot, had been tainted by some stupid pet. What a pain in the ass.

Ella had certainly been right in her assessment that Kole was indeed an arrogant boy. He clearly seemed so sure that he had the advantage because of his size he never once seemed to consider that she might not be entirely what she seemed. He was a tad bit dramatic too, it was just a roof in a public place. Still, she wasn’t going to go back up there too often, just when she was sure he was nowhere to be seen. It was the best spot she’d seen so far after all. But, for the most part, she would probably find somewhere else to soak up her sunlight. She didn’t want to get a reputation for starting fights because that really hadn’t been her intention here.
It was easy to drop off the roof to the safety of the ground below without getting herself hurt and watched for a moment as he went over the room himself. Watching the guard crouch next to him, she gave him a small wave. “See you around,” she said, even though she had no intention of getting too close to him again and sauntered off.
Ella was likely to get a black eye from this encounter herself, so she would likely spend a few days as a cat to avoid too many questions. Besides, she was sure she had something to nibble on in her room until she had healed properly.
