Hyzenthlay have been having fun learning more about her specie as she been with the older shiftier. She was forgetting mostly about her family being killed. She wasn't alone which was something she really enjoyed to know. The unicorn shiftier longed to be with her own kind. But was sadden he had to go as well. She wished they could spend more time together. She shifted back to her other form and place her clothes back on. She loved the nature around her, as she played with the leaves of the trees.
'I love the changes of the leaves. Would love too see them change back' she thought as she never had the chance to see them change back. It was like she misses it everytime, by her closing her eyes. This time though she wasn't going to close her eyes, she wasn't going to miss the leaves changing colour this time. 'Your not going to trick me this time' she whispered as she sat down on the ground and started to stare at the leaves, waiting for them to change colour. Tagged: CAIRO ALEKSANDER SELVIG

I Think You Can Save Me Cairo was a very cautious man. He rarely put himself in a position where his life could be in danger. Being clairvoyant, it wasn't all that difficult. The forest was generally off limits to the timid man. He had his reasons, most of them revolving around the forest being the breeding ground for shifters. It was their spot to be themselves, to run and hunt, and be whatever animal they'd been born or turned into. Cairo had had enough close calls with them despite his current boyfriend being a werebear. How that had managed to happen was a miracle in itself, but Cairo wouldn't change it for the world. He might even say it made him a better person. He couldn't very well be prejudiced against an entire species when his boyfriend fell into that category. Introductions with the real bear were well overdue, but Cairo could finally get past that consuming fear while in the presence of residents and staff with an animalistic counterpart. He had Bjørn to thank for that.
Speaking of Bjørn, the slightly younger male was the reason Cairo was even in the forest to begin with. It was hardly a bad thing at this point. Cairo had been informed that there was an entire hive located just on the outskirts of the forest and apparently there was plenty of honey to be collected. Now Cairo wasn't going to just waltz his way into the forest and start chopping down a beehive because that meant he'd probably end up going into anaphylactic shock due to the mass amount of bee stings he'd receive. He would, however, check it out for himself and bring his favorite werebear to the spot during their lunch break.
He briefly wondered if that was stereotypical of him, but then again, he'd never seen Bjørn turn down food. He snickered at the thought. He followed the sound of bees until he came across the motherload of all honeycombs. "I'm going to have a very happy bear on my hands." He wanted to get a little closer, maybe get a sample just to help entice the other, make things a bit more fun, but he heard a whisper and the crunch of leaves. Cairo spun around, eyes wide, heart pounding. He waited for several moments until he spotted a child sitting on the ground staring at the leaves.
"Good morning," he greeted. She'd startled him, but there was no reason for him to do the same.

But music is reflection of self, we just explain it, and then we get our checks in the mail Hyzenthlay was still very much focus on the leaves which were in front of her. She wanted them to change colour in front of her as she was so curious of the world. Atlas have been teaching her more of her unicorn side and learning more about their lore. There were a lot of dangers in the world she learnt. Mostly dragons which were their enemies since their creation. You can see the pictures of them fighting, she googled this thanks to the computer lab which Atlas managed to get her into.
The leaves weren’t changing colours, and Hyzenthlay was beginning to get very bored and was going to get up and run around like loony bin. She was very active and she could shift tonight, to gallop around the forest which was really huge and great for exercising. Hyzenthlay heard something, and she turned her head to see someone who she hasn't met before. She slowly got up as she gotten bored and lost interested in the leaves now.
“Hello there! I am Hyzenthlay!” She extended her hand out. “What is your name?” She asked him as she was curious, as she still haven’t met everyone in the place yet. Expect for Kelly (and she found him really mean), Bael and Atlas. “Morning? Looks more like evening too me” she giggled, while doing this she showed her teeth at him. Hyzenthlay was really cheeky like, and always on the go. She hope she fine Bael again one day, so they can play together more.

I Think You Can Save Me
The question as to why the child was focusing so heavily on the leaves was sitting there in the back of his mind, but it didn't seem like an appropriate time to bring it up. He hadn't exactly planned on sticking around long, just long enough to make sure she was okay. After all, he was on a bit of a schedule himself. He didn't want the guards to send out a rescue party when he'd simply gotten caught up in conversation with one of the residents. He was assuming she was a resident because the thought of someone letting their child run freely on Manson's property didn't sit well with him.
When the little girl stood up, Cairo stopped in his advancement for two reasons, one, she might be hostile and two, he didn't want her to run deeper into the forest thinking he was a threat. It turned out he was wrong on both assumptions. Hyzenthlay didn't run and she didn't attack. Instead she greeted him with so much enthusiasm that he found himself startled. Cairo looked at the extended hand, a puzzled look upon his face. He didn't like physical contact. It was the easiest way to trigger his gift. No matter how happy this child might have looked on the surface, smiles were often used to hide the pain. He offered a smile and hesitantly shook her hand after mentally preparing himself. Recently he found it much easier to block people out. The less stressed he was, the easier.
"Hello Hyzenthlay," he greeted. What a peculiar name. "My name is Cairo." He didn't shake long and was happy to have his hand back at his side. "What brings you to the forest," he asked. "Are you collecting leaves?" That seemed like a proper way to bring up her staring. He'd seen people concentrate like that, but it was usually during an exam.

Hyzenthlay can sense the teacher nervousness. She was a creature of pure of heart and something that can’t be hurt by some humans. She had a feeling he was scared of her hand, but nothing would happen since her being a unicorn, she was able to block out anything. You don’t have to fear me Cairo. I am not an evil creature, my kind only wishes to heal people and help them. Do you believe in mythical creatures? she spoke and asked him as her tone was calm, while she places her hand back to her side. I have come here to watch the leaves change colour. Did you know they go from green to an orange-brown-red colour? She asked him and giggled more. You fearful of the forest, but why have you come here? I live out here as at night is the safest times for me to shift into my true form. Are you pure of heart? She asked him, as she was delighted there was another unicorn shifter on the ground and she was able to learn from him too. Have you fully healed now? She asked as she could sense he was hurt recently, but she wasn’t good at time yet. CAIRO ALEKSANDER SELVIG (sorry for the wait)

I Think You Can Save Me
Cairo wasn't necessarily scared of shaking the child's hand, he just didn't want to get a glimpse of her life. While he could build metal physical walls to keep the outside world out, it didn't always go that way. Strong emotions and tragic events that plagued a person tended to shatter those carefully built walls. No, it was more like a wrecking ball smashing them to pieces. In those brief moments, he was vulnerable, and Cairo didn't like it. For him, it was like being right there with them or some strange out of body experience. Cairo also saw it as invasive to peer into someone's past, present, or future without their permission. Caution was always his goal, because privacy was important, which was why he found himself a little offended when Hyzenthlay openly called him out.
Brown eyes blinked as he was taken aback by her words. For starters, he was used to small children calling him Mr. Cairo and not outright Cairo, although he didn't mind being addressed by either. "I'm not afraid of you, Hyzenthlay," he told the child softly. He hadn't been at first, just cautious, but now he was a little concerned the more she spoke. He felt like someone had written his every emotion in bold letters on his forehead. And then came the question of believing in mythical creatures. He was a staff member of Manson, an asylum for the supernatural and gifted. How could he not believe in mythical creatures? He'd met were creatures and shapeshifters, dragons, and demi-gods. This place was full of mythical creatures and people with extraordinary abilities. With that being said, Hyzenthlay was still a child and he'd happily indulge her.
"Yes. I do believe in mythical creatures," he responded. "Are you a mythical creature?" He nodded lightly as she explained her reasoning for being in the forest. "Every Autumn the leaves change color and fall from the trees," he explained. A child of her age should know such things. She looked old enough at least. His relaxed demeanor changed as she pointed out that he was fearful of the forest. Cairo wanted to tell her that it was rude to point out a person's fear so blatantly but didn't have the heart to reprimand the child. "I was searching for a beehive for my friend," he said, avoiding any further discussion about what he did or didn't fear. Things like that made him uncomfortable. Cairo knew he wasn't brave or strong and was prone to falling apart at the smallest of things, but that didn't mean he wanted someone to point it out to him, least of all a stranger. He liked to think he'd come a long way over the past few years.
"I would like to think I'm pure of heart, but no one is perfect. We can only try to be." It was the best answer he could give her. Cairo tried to live a good life, or at least he wanted to be comfortable in his life. Right now he was. He had someone he loved and adored and a good job with excellent students. Cairo really could no- "Excuse me?" His thoughts had abruptly been cut off when Hyzenthlay asked if he'd healed fully. He took an unintentional step back as if the distance could somehow save him from what happened next. Pain tore through his arm, so fresh and vivid that he had to muffle a scream. That pain traveled up his back and neck and Cairo grasped his scarred side with his uninjured arm. The world was a blur of colors and then he was back in the car right before the accident, the world went black and he was underneath Ice.
Everything he'd remembered had happened in a matter of seconds, but it had felt like a lifetime. Cairo was back in the present, clenching his arm so tightly that his knuckles had turned white. Warm tears were streaming down his face and he wiped them away quickly before he took a very intentional step away from Hyzthenlay. Cairo did not scream at children, but if she'd have been an adult he would have yelled at her to stop. Instead, he focused on his breathing, in and out, in and out. "H-Hyzenthlay, it's late, perhaps we should both return to the school." His voice was hardly steady, but he forced himself not to stumble over his words. She was a shifter, but there had to be more to it than that. Cairo could build shields all day to keep others out, but he couldn't hide from himself. And somehow, someway, this child knew.

Hyzenthlay was terrifed. Something about the teacher was bit off for her. She didn't know what it was, but her true form was nervous around him. This was rare as she was find with Bael who said he was a demonkeeper. But he was pure of heart, so why was the unicorn scared of him. Was there something else. Hyzenthlay really didn't know and have to ask Atlas about this She looked at him more "I know that silly. I am so fasticated by the way their change. They so cool aren't they?" she replied to him "yes I am. My kind is very rare, I thought I was the only one but now there is two of us. What are you?" She did ask but something was telling her that she wasn't going to find out as he started to act all strange Hyzenthlay was really spooked by him and she quickly changed into her unicorn foal form. She was at the height of a yearling in her unicorn form, and her alicon was small but if he was truely pure of heart and then he would see her alicorn easily just like Bael did. She shooked her head as he mention abot going back inside. Hyzenthlay doesn't go inside she lives out in the woods in her form, as it was the only time she can be safe like this. Hyzenthlay didn't like being naughty for the staff but he couldn't go with him, she just couldn't CAIRO ALEKSANDER SELVIG

I Think You Can Save Me
Cairo was probably more terrified of Hyzenthlay than she was of him. It wasn't his intention to scare the child by any means, but he sorely regretted crossing paths with her. What had started out as a calm day was now becoming a twisted nightmare. He felt sick to his stomach, almost on the verge of losing a meal that he'd enjoyed preparing. On top of that the pain in his arm, back, and neck were not going away. It wasn't nearly as intense as when he'd been forced to relive the memories, but it still pained him nonetheless. Cairo wanted nothing more than to make his way home and hopefully recover from this ordeal. That or he wanted to go to Bjørn's and be held for a little while. There was always some comfort in being with the bear. Right now, he needed as much as he could get.
The Life Skills instructor nodded lightly as Hyzenthlay spoke of how the leaves were fascinating. As she explained the rarity of her species, Cairo listened patiently. Despite the cool air of the changing seasons, a thin line of perspiration was beginning to form across his brow. It felt like someone was repeatedly stabbing him with a knife. "Two is always better than one," he agreed. He was genuinely happy to know that she wasn't completely alone in this world. A child should never have to face anything by themselves. It also let him know that this little girl had no family. Cairo was a bleeding heart, but he kept his mouth shut. The child seemed happy enough right now, no need to spoil it with questions of her past. If he really wanted to know, he could have just 'looked', but he was in enough pain as it was. "I'm human," he told her. He didn't wish to give any more information than that.
When the child shifted, Cairo stepped back, tripped over a root, and fellow flat on his rump. His eyes widened and he scrambled back. The creature before him was small, yes, as was the horn atop her head, but it didn't mean she couldn't impale him. He put his hand to his mouth before he could lose his lunch. God, please don't let her attack me. He moved back until he was pressed against a tree. He quickly got to his feet and raised back hands in front of him. "You don't have to go back indoors," he told her. "Stay out here if you like, but I have to go home." Before I pass out or have another mental breakdown.
