General Rules
- Respect other members and their views, I don’t want to see any OOC arguments brought into the site and if someone upsets you then PM an Admin and they will deal with the situation
- Graphics should be a reasonable size. Most will automatically resize if too big, or end up scrolling, but if you need help to resize images to keep them in proportion, please ask.
As a guide,Avatars should be no bigger then: 250px (width) 350px (height) - No use of explicit language anywhere on the site. Some swearing is fine when used creatively in RPs but don't over use it. Such language also must not be directed to another member. If your language is getting excessively explicit in or out of RPs, you will get a warning.
- Not a rule but just info, I made this site while viewing in Firefox/Safari on my Mac. I tried making things cross browser as much as i can but some things may look odd. If something looks completely strange, just let me know and say what browser your using
RPing Rules
- Content must be PG13. It is in Proboards TOS which states all content on Proboards must be suitable for someone aged 13. Post breaking this rule will be deleted and if its a persistent rule break, the poster will find themself banned. If you are unsure if your post is breaking this rule it probably shouldn't be posted.
- Each post should be at lest a good paragraph. I want this to be a fun site to Rp on. Everyone makes mistakes, im dyslexic so im sure I make loads of grammar errors and spelling mistakes unknowingly. It isn’t that much to write a paragraph and it makes your writing more interesting and fun ;D
- No posting in ANY of the boards until you have made a character and had it accepted. Your profile will get looked at within a day so there really is no need to rush ahead, just have a little patience (:
- RP post must be made in third person, non-rp post can be made in first person (such as in the profiles, journals, IM chat etc..)
Character Rules
- One character per account. For each character you make, you need to make sure you make a new account and apply with the profile form.
- I reserve the right to disallow a character. I am open minded to the type of characters that are allowed here, but they should all fit in with the site theme and plots. Your character may be denied or you may be asked to alter them if it seems they won't fit with the site.
- When you sign up please change your display name to match your characters and put in CAPS You can register with a alias if you prefer but once accepted you need to change your display name to your characters.
- Post your characters profile within a week. I'm sure you know how annoying it is when members join but never post anything. If a account has signed up but not posted anything within a week, it will get deleted
- Only real life play-bys are accepted here. So sorry, no anime or drawn images. While we much prefer you do have a play-by, you can go without if the person you use is taken, or you normally use drawn images and can't find a 'real' play-by that fits.
FAQ
How do I know who plays what character? Click on the characters user-name to view the user-profile, and who plays them will be shown in the OOC Extras section.
What kind of werewolf do you allow? You can have bipedal (so a more 'classic' looking human-wolf mix/walks on two legs) or a quadrupedal (so a larger/stronger version of that animal). The same rule applies to other were-types.
Can Were-types shift at will or only on a full moon? The rule most follow with there characters and what we recommend is that any born with the were-gene can shift at will with little to no pain but are still influenced by a full moon which forces it and can make them a bit more irritable. Those who are bitten and receive the were-gene can bring on a shift but it is much harder and a lot more painful for them, a full moon also affects them more violently.
Can I reserve a face claim? Yes. Just post in the Face Claim thread using the code to reserve them. Once your profile is accepted the claim will be added and officially claimed. Keep in mind, if you reserve someone, to finish your profile in a reasonable time or the claim might be freed up again.
Can I make a human character? No. All characters on the site need to be supernatural or gifted.
Why can't I make a thread in some boards? It is probably because your character group is restricting you. If you play a 'high-risk' character or someone in one of the more dangerous groupings, such as violent or killer, then some areas are purposefully altered to not allow you to RP in them. This is mostly seen in the town and Secure Facility boards. But don't worry, there are plenty of other places you can post unrestricted! This is explained a little more in the Risk Levels thread.
