He had so many questions on the parenting aspects of her species, by the sounds of it she didn't seem to know for sure, didn't that mean that she didnt know either of her parents? He couldn't imagine that. Sure his parents had practically abandoned him, but at least he knew where he came from. He knows he has his mothers sense of humour and her looks too. He knows he's as stubborn as his father but has his height. She didn't know any of that, did she? He found that somewhat sad really.. But then she wasn't a human really, she had literally been a feline. Cats don't tend to keep their kids around for eighteen years. They rarely live to that age actually.. He was so curious, but harrassing her with questions probably would be a little too much at this stage of getting to know each other.
"I can't really eat any of that stuff anymore anyway," nor would he want too, if he's going to be risking eating human food then he'll be munching on fresh fruits and chocolates, not fish and cream.. However, ice cream wouldn't go amiss. He's pretty sure he can't get brain freeze anymore. "The humans never realised that food was going missing from their fridges, little cat thief?" He'd spotted the yellow tinged band around her wrist, he knew what she was. He was quite sure he had nothing of value to steal from his room, he wasn't really that worried about that. And she didn't seem like the type to steal a stash of drugs..
Plus, he was quite certain that she would leave his room in a kitty cat form. Cat's can't carry much, they've only got a mouth. Maybe she'd like a little kitty backpack? But then he'd worry about his things going missing. Tricky.
"A lot of the shifters can understand each other.. But there are a lot of other species in Manson that would just hear you meowing and think you're an adorable cat, so uh, maybe try wandering around as a person for a little bit? You'd make friends, I'm sure." If he's managed it then he'd imagine that anybody else would find it easy too. She seemed pretty nice to him. His gaze went to her tail when it appeared behind her and he would have bitten his lip but he was getting out of that habit seeing as he kept on biting through his lip rather than just nibbling on it. He can control his fangs, but only to a small extent. Vaith promises that it'll all come with time but the Jinn is notoriously impatient.
"Friends are easy.. They're just people that you chose to have around, some can be like family, which is awesome because you can't usually pick your family, but people like me and you, without one, we totally can. You'll be happy here, I just know it."

Ella had never really known her parents, but she had been quite happy with the family that had adopted her and raised her. She missed them from time to time. It had probably been the best home she’d had. “I can’t imagine not eating that stuff,” she admitted, chuckling slightly. “Humans are stupid. Most seemed to think they’d eaten the food and forgotten about it.” She hadn’t been caught over the food really. It had been the shiny things that had been an issue. “It was the clothing and jewelry they noticed, but I needed something to wear like this.” She had known she’d needed to put on clothes to go anywhere in her human form and move about, the jewelry had been more to have a little spending money. She listened to what he said and nodded. It seemed like sound advice to her, spend a little time in human form and see what people were like. Of course, there were some that would probably be safer to just remain a cat around. Some people who were less likely to hurt her if they thought she was just an animal. “I’m not exactly a shifter, but I met a couple that had no trouble understanding me so I think maybe I shouldn’t have any trouble understanding them either,” she said, thinking it had something to do with her still being an animal in her other form. Ella was a little surprised nobody had managed to explain friendship quite so easily to her before. The way he put it made it make a lot more sense than any other explanation she’d heard and she knew she couldn’t solely rely on her feline instincts when it came to friends she needed to be human around. “Sounds like you’ve got a lot to teach me,” she said, smiling at him. “Like who’s best suited for such a family. In addition to you I mean, because I like you.” So far, Ezra was one of the finest people she’d met here. Him and Bram were really making her feel right at home and she liked it. “I’ve spent most of my life being someone’s pet so I wouldn’t have to take care of myself,” she admitted. “In the sense of not having to pay for a place to live I mean. I think I’m going to like it here too.”

"I never really thought about it too much," he admitted with a wry smile, "I mean, I never really asked to be turned. Not going to complain about it, because my sire's pretty good.. He doesn't beat me or order me to do anything I really don't want too, so.. It could definitely be worse." Ez tends to talk a lot, probably revealing more than he should simply because he's in his own bedroom, it's easy to feel comfortable there, "but yeah, never had to think about not ever eating my favourite foods again until I couldn't anyway, but really, it wasn't that big of a change. Still get my food from the canteen. So, nothing much has changed. I do miss chewing though. Can't chew on a bloodbag, it gets messy." He tried once when he was high, it had indeed been a massive mess.
She was a little thief. He'd stolen before too though so he couldn't really judge her for that, plus, he didn't wear jewelry or womens clothing so he'd be safe from being nicked off of.. As for humans being stupid, "a lot of them are," he admitted with a small grin, "but some of them are proper clever, manipulative little twats, so.. I guess, if you're gonna be messing around with them then just judge 'em as they come. Assuing they're all stupid is kinda like saying that all vampires are proper bloodthirsty." He could be, but then he was kind of young still for a vampire, but Vaith was anything but a bloodthirsty monster. He was a gentleman vampire. He's kind of what Ez wants to be.
A lot to teach her? He blinked at that but gave a slightly sheepish smile, "I guess? I'm not so clever really, I just know some stuff." He'd dropped out of education at 16, so he wasn't exactly stupid, but he had no higher degrees in absolutely anything. He'd always assumed that if he needed to learn a skill or something he could ask somebody to borrow a wish in exchange for giving them two by telling them how to claim him. "I'm not a pet, but I'm kind dependent on others, species quirk I suppose. But I have a couple of people, Vaith, he's the vampire who turned me, and there's my guard, Rob. And Ky, he's the hyena I mentioned. He's my boyfriend. So hands off." It was a light warning, he didn't think she'd try anything with the hyena, or that the ghoul would be receptive of her if she tried anyway. He tries to keep the other guy happy enough that he doesn't stray.
"But sure! I'll have to intoduce you to Vaith sometime.. You'll like him, I mean, I love him so if you're my friend you kinda have to like him too."

Ella listened to him talk about how he came to be a vampire in the first place. Even if it was vague, she kind of got the impression that it was an accident. “Sounds like you found the right guy to be tied to,” she offered, smiling slightly at him. “I’ll admit, I know nothing about what it’s like, except from what I’ve heard from others, but in my experience, vampires are alright people. At least the ones I’ve met so far. I’m usually more wary of shifters than any other species.” Which was kind of ironic given she could turn into a cat herself, but it also just made people a little more unpredictable than if they didn’t have that animal side. “Have you tried making blood-based food?” she asked, wondering if there even was such a thing. Maybe that would help alleviate the longing for chewing, without the downside of eating. “I mean, if it’s possible and all?” She couldn’t cook to save her life, so she wasn’t going to offer to try, but it did seem like something to look into at least. It was starting to seem more and more like she had chosen the right room to go into for a nap. Ezra was definitely a clever guy, and she got the impression he was more her kind of clever than book smart. Not that there was anything wrong with people who were smart because they read a lot, it was just that they tended to have a different view on things. “I dream walk,” she admitted. “If I’m taken in by someone, I usually wander through their dreams the first few nights and if I don’t like what I see I’m out of there pretty quick. The ones I get a good feeling about from their dreams are usually safe to steal food from. Or something to wear for a day out while they’re at work. I don’t tend to stick around for too long if I don’t like someone, or take things I don’t need if I really like someone.” If someone treated her nicely and spoiler her without too much prompting, she usually never took something precious with her when she left and usually stuck around for a while longer than if she didn’t like them in the first place. Something about Ezra told her that he was the type of person who’d be able to help her understand some concepts that were foreign to her. The way he’d explained friendship certainly made a lot more sense than any explanation she’d been given previously. “Don’t worry, your boyfriend is safe,” she said, chuckling slightly. “Probably wouldn’t have an issue being friendly with him, but that’s usually where my interest ends with other people who can shift anyway.” Sure, he probably hadn’t worried too much anyway since he’d said boyfriend, but she figured it was good for her to clarify too. She didn’t want to end up worrying him over nothing. “I would love to meet them all,” she added, not because it was the polite thing to say, but because they might just be good to her too. If Ezra liked them, then they had to be good. “If Vaith is half a good of a person as you make him out to be as a sire, I’m sure I’ll like him,” she reassured him. “Anyone who has the power to order someone about and chooses not to abuse it sound like someone worth meeting and respecting to me.” Honestly, she’d seen people order their dogs about until the poor canines were absolutely miserable, so if a vampire could be a decent sire, they had to be a good person too. At least that was her take on it all. She might be entirely wrong on that but she was willing to bet this Vaith guy was awesome too. “He certainly made an awesome vampire,” she said, grinning at Ezra.

"Shifters have more teeth." That seemed like a good enough reason than any to be more worried about them than the vampires.. Ez doesn't think much has changed with him, as long as he keeps himself fed enough and doesn't let another vampire almost drain him dry. That had only happened once before, when Vaith had woken up a little too hungry and he'd been the first one to meet the bloodthirsty vamp. People had died.. he no longer thought about it at all, it was easier not too, "and us vampires have all that sexy, attractive lore," he added with a grin, "we're totally the studs of the supernatural world." And he was obviously joking, he doesn't think that much of himself at all. Sure he's a little bit arrogant sometimes, but that doesn't mean that he believes he's better than most people. He's just well aware of his own strengths and talents.
As for the food? "Do you mean cooking with blood?" He looked slightly confused for a moment, and then curious, "I haven't. That'd be pretty cool though.. I wonder if Cairo'll let me experiment in the kitchens? Might be a bit messy though, horror movie looking. Picture blood instead of flour," weirdly though, that mental image made him feel kind of hungry. Gross. "Proper messy."
Dreamwalk? Ez never remembers his dreams so he can't really comment on what kind of things go through his mind. But he knows what goes through his mind a lot when he's awake, so being asleep shouldn't be that much different, right? It made him snicker a little before he spoke, "you probably shouldn't walk through my dreams, just a heads up. I'm imagining they'd be full of all sorts of R rated things, or blood.. Either way, probably best to steer clear." Not that he'd mind if she did dip into his dreams, it'd be quite an eye opener to hear what she saw. Also, he'd like to know what other people are dreaming about too.. He stopped chewing his lip after a few moments because he never quite knows when his fangs would descend, but he was curious. What did Vaith dream of? Hm.. Was it worth asking? Maybe later, he doesn't like to ask favours of people he's just met.
Flattery will get you everywhere with Ez, he's much like his sire in that regard, so the Jinn grinned at Ella when she complimented his awesomeness and thereby complimented his sire in the process, "I'll introduce you, just try not to start drooling. Or do. I think it'd make him feel good to think that somebody's literally drooling over him.. He's pretty hot. Can probably hear me saying this if he's in his room, he sleeps just over the corridor." Cats drool when they're super happy. His had used too anyway.

She couldn’t disagree with that. They did have more teeth and seemed more unpredictable than vampires. “I don’t think you’re the only species with sexy, attractive lore,” she said, chuckling slightly. “So many alluring species out there…” She’d only heard stories about most of them though. Being mostly feline, she’d never been interested in exploring the ocean, but you heard tales or merpeople making people drown themselves because they couldn’t resist them. Not that she was going to go looking for that particular group of people. Ezra seemed like the sort of person who just knew how to have fun and Ella could appreciate that about a person. She was mostly doing whatever kept her entertained too. If some people thought that was selfish, that was their problem. Clearly, they just didn’t know how to have fun. Even if said fun was sometimes merely playing with a string or a feather. Ella chuckled when he started talking about using the kitchen like that. “Find someone who can dry it for you? This one house I lived in used dried blood to fertilize their flowers… Surely dried blood could replace flour?” She was merely speculating, but it sounded doable. “Mind you, I’ve never cooked a thing in my life.” She hadn’t had to. “Maybe ask a friend to borrow their kitchen.” Someone like Ezra surely had friends he could ask favors of like that? He certainly seemed the type to have friends he could ask. This place didn’t seem like a safe place to use her abilities, there was no telling what people would dream about or how they’d react. “Thanks for the warning,” she said, chuckling slightly. “Don’t think I’ll be doing that a lot here anyway, people around here might realize what’s happening,” she admitted. “At least if I interact with the dream and not just observe. And interacting is usually hard to resist.” She struggled with just being an observer at times. While flattery was something she knew worked with a lot of people, she had only been honest right now about Ezra being an awesome vampire. “I make no promises on the drooling,” she said, chuckling slightly. Hey, she could appreciate beauty as much as the next girl. Getting up from where she was flopped, Ella walked over to Ezra and hugged him tightly. “I like you,” she said, purring slightly. “I should go, but I’ll be back. If you think I take too long, you can find me with the other level 2s in the dorms.” Hey, she’d invaded his space, only fair to invite him to do the same. Letting go of the vampire, she shifted and shrugged off the sheet she’d covered up with. “Oh, and I really do want to meet your sire,” she added, just in case that hadn’t been clear. “Vampire sandwich doesn’t sound too bad for sleeping arrangements,” she said before she started walking.
