I WOULDN'T HOLD MY BREATH IF I WAS YOU
'CAUSE I'LL FORGET BUT I'LL NEVER FORGIVE YOU
DON'T YOU KNOW, DON'T YOU KNOW
TRUE FRIENDS STAB YOU IN THE FRONT June had been out practicing her swordsmanship. She had permission this time around. The only reason she was acting decent was in order to see Wolf whenever she pleased. The white haired woman didn't behave for just anyone. Of course, there were times when she couldn't portray herself as a model citizen. Like two weeks ago when some half deranged resident had stepped on her dress. She'd punched him square in the face. Or the time where her guard had been following too closely, and June had taken it upon herself to put some space between them by using an excessive amount of force. Or there had been the time before that when she'd kicked a down resident repeatedly for looking at her wrong. June was hardly an angel. As the day began to draw to a close, June decided to head back inside, or least find something a little less exhausting. She considered going to the lake for a swim, but that didn't fully appeal to her need for entertainment. Going back to the secure ward wasn't on the agenda either. She exited the forest and started across the lawns. She'd put her shoes back on. A pair of heels courtesy of Wolf, and she absolutely loved them. June rarely wore shoes, but she just couldn't get enough of these. Oh, she had an idea. She could go show them off to everyone at the student bar. June wasn't much of a party girl, but it was the perfect spot to have a good time. It wasn't quite flooded with people just yet. There were at least fifteen or so people here. A few were dancing with each other, some were lounging, and a handful was at the bar. June hit the dance floor. She loved to dance and the music was just right. This would be the perfect way to end her night before she was forced to retire to the basement. Hopefully, she didn't have to enact violence upon some poor soul between now and then. A bar full of inebriated and possibly less than fully sane residents? Ziggy would never say no to a visit to such a place. If the staff knew better they would not allow it or at least supervise him but thankfully for the fox they were still judging him nearer the ‘two’ side of his current level three rather than four and so he was free to walk on into the Student Bar unaccompanied by a guard or any kind of ankle tag, the only thing that would indicate him as being something to possibly be cautious of was his wristband.
On entering he was a little disappointed to see so few around but inhaling the atmosphere for a few seconds anyway, Ziggy then made his way to the bar and after a quick check by the bartender of his status and being clear of any alcohol restrictions, the fox was served a drink and allowed to take it to a table if he chose. For now Ziggy opted to stay on a stool and take in his surroundings more and do a little people watching, even with the few here he was sure he could pick out someone interesting.
And that was when he spotted June. It was her dress that drew his eye more than anything, the fox just had a thing for the colour even if he did not the wearer. Drinking some more he watched her longer then licked his upper lip and decided to try his luck with an offer to dance with her or just buy her a drink, all that movement and you might think she would be thirsty soon.
Ziggy still needed to make some ‘friends’ in this place or just ally himself with the ones who might cause him an issue, where that woman would lie in the scenario he had no clue but he could only find out by approaching and so he did, carefully, he wasn’t stupid. Only when he thought she was looking his way did he speak.
“I like your dress.” he said as way to get something started, women liked compliments, didn’t they? Ziggy was obviously a dude but he for sure enjoyed being told how awesome he was and dressed.

'CAUSE I'LL FORGET BUT I'LL NEVER FORGIVE YOU
DON'T YOU KNOW, DON'T YOU KNOW
TRUE FRIENDS STAB YOU IN THE FRONT No matter how much fun she was having out on the dance floor, June was always aware. Manson was not the place to let your guard down. Too many violent individuals like herself, some downright mad and deranged, others like a ticking time bomb. The woman spun around, catching a glimpse of a man approaching. He seemed to be taking his sweet time, so she continued on with her fun until he was close enough to cause a threat. June stopped dancing as he spoke, her head tilted to one side, hair falling in that direction, a blanket of white snow. Her lips curled in amusement as he complimented her dress. The woman was hardly vain enough to point out that her shoes were better. She decided to take the compliment as it was. "Thanks." She looked him over, her blue eyes scanning his features. He was tall, much taller than she. It was almost irritating, but she dismissed her bubbling annoyance and focused on his hair. She liked the color, wanted to make him kneel so she could run her hands through it. It was wild, untamed. Then there were the tattoos. So many and possibly more hidden beneath the clothing. June was intrigued. "Never seen your face before, new blood?" The homunculus leaned back some, wondering what he was, or what he was gifted with. June was always about finding useful people. If you were useful, she'd gladly keep you close, but if you were a waste of space, she'd feel entitled to end your existence. Be a shame to put an end to such a handsome face. "What brings you to the lovely Manson?" She'd much rather dance than talk. Luckily she was in a decent mood. MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOXOGRAPHY 2.0

Ziggy got the sense that randomly approaching a stranger in this place could go only one of two ways, good or bad with little inbetween, but with the flow of alcohol and the pulse of music he was feeling luck might be on his side for a good interaction.
Seeing June stop her dancing might have been a bad sign but Ziggy thought maybe the compliment went some way to helping his approach be taken positively rather than in some creepy ‘I am going to hit on you if you like it or not’ kind of way, he did after all generally think her dress was nice on her. Intention was everything here, people can smell it.
So he smiled as she thanked him and was about to move onto stage two of his ‘make friends, ally with enemies’ plan when he caught her looking him over. Ziggy in no way thought he would be lucky enough to meet another Ez so soon but he still enjoyed the fact he seemed to be getting attention with so little effort. Starvation was never going to be an issue here.
Noticing she seemed to be focused a little to his hair (which he guessed might just be due to the height difference) Ziggy ran a hand through it, it was a feature of himself he admired as much as others seemed to so why not make a point of drawing more attention to it? He could have gotten lost in thought at his own features at this point but June speaking brought him back and he let his hand fall and rest on his waist casually.
“A couple of months old now. Didn’t really note the day.” he replied with a light smile, so yes he was very new, from asking around he found out some had been here years. It was a slightly disturbing prospect to Ziggy but he didn’t see himself being put into that category, unless it proved fruitful to stay here.
As for the reason, he chuckled and quickly glanced around to make sure no staff might be lurking and then back to June. “A guard with a bad attitude and overreaction to a little nibble.” If they did overhear it wasn’t too much of a problem but he was still trying to keep up a ‘nice guy’ pretence. It might be a rather literal reply but Ziggy didn’t think his sarcasm would be lost on her. “Name’s Ziggy, can I get you a drink?” Where his money came from he hadn’t bothered to ask but he found he did have an allowance of some kind coming in to spend around here.

'CAUSE I'LL FORGET BUT I'LL NEVER FORGIVE YOU
DON'T YOU KNOW, DON'T YOU KNOW
TRUE FRIENDS STAB YOU IN THE FRONT June would have squashed any sort of creepy confidence that Ziggy had with a kick to the face. Her heels had a nice little point that would do the trick. Besides, she had all eyes for Wolf. With that being said, June may have lacked the emotional capacity to form a proper relationship, but it didn't mean she was blind. She'd learned that her pathetic human heart had compelled her to find some interest in men that caught her eye. Vaith, Wolf, Ziggy. All handsome, but she was reluctant to truly court anyone. Wolf was a special case. He had worth until she deemed otherwise. She gave him a smug look as he ran a hand through his hair. Blue eyes narrowed a bit and she motioned for him to get on her level. "Just a touch, I promise not to rip it out." She gave a small none too friendly smile, but there was nothing wicked about it. Just her usual, don't tempt me to change my mind smile. "That explains a lot," she responded after he'd mention that his stay had been only a few months short. She'd been locked away in isolation recently, confined in the secure facility, and unable to participate in normal activities. Seems as though she'd missed a lot. Best start behaving more in order to keep up with the who's who around the place. She'd hate to miss out on someone that could be of worth. Maybe one day she could be so well behaved that the staff would lower her level like they'd done the fury. She wasn't in the business of getting too friendly with the staff, but perhaps fewer punches and blades would do the trick. Although, the secure ward had it's uses. There lay the strong and abled. "Sounds like the typical guard," she mused. "Keep your teeth to yourself," she added. June gave a nod as he offered to buy her a drink. "Sure. I'm June." There was no pleasure to be met just yet. She'd determine that once they parted ways. "Interesting name, Ziggy. It fits." MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOXOGRAPHY 2.0

If June wanted to touch his hair then Ziggy had no problems letting her, he would rank the flare of red on his head amongst his top five features and the more who realised that the better, though her ripping it out had not crossed his mind as being a potential issue until she mentioned she would not do as such, Ziggy didn’t hesitate and knelt down a little so June could reach. “Newly washed, should be nice and soft.” he joked before standing again a few moments later.
June’s response made Ziggy wonder if she was usually the type of person that made a point of knowing who was coming in and out of Manson and the fact that she had missed his own arrival, if that meant she had been otherwise occupied, as in locked away somewhere. It seemed a more likely possibility than she had been on holiday or hiding away under a pile of textbooks for an exam. Ziggy liked to think he could judge people well and June gave the impression she was something to be cautious of, more likely to be out of the mix by force rather than want. “Been keeping a low profile, seemed better to get a feel for this place and the people before letting all know I am here.” Ziggy said with a shrug. It helped greatly he could mask his scent and heartbeat, Ziggy was fairly sure his dorm neighbour didn’t even know he had arrived until a week after he had moved in.
Was it typical of the guards? Ziggy had the impression it might be but so far he had kept out of the securities watch so he didn’t fully know what they were like (other than the one Ez had warned about), partly in thanks he felt to his plan to keep a low profile and just see who out of the resident population can be of use or entertainment to him rather than going big straight away and getting a staff member wrapped around his little finger. Grinning faintly, Ziggy nodded at the given advice, “Usually do unless asked otherwise.” he said with an amused smirk.
Even if June was taking no real pleasure in this meeting, Ziggy was buzzing off the general atmosphere and still thinking striking up a conversation with the woman would be worthwhile, she seemed to know her way around this place which in turn he hoped meant she knew the people. “Thank you. I thought so too.” He couldn’t help but come across a little smug about his self given title.
Starting off towards the bar since the drink offer had been accepted, Ziggy gestured to the tables, “Want to pick one, June? I can bring drinks over.” he just assumed she would name what she wanted at this point for him to order and would wait long enough to hear before he would order and leave to then bring it back to her whoever she chose to sit or stand.

I WOULDN'T HOLD MY BREATH IF I WAS YOU
'CAUSE I'LL FORGET BUT I'LL NEVER FORGIVE YOU
DON'T YOU KNOW, DON'T YOU KNOW
TRUE FRIENDS STAB YOU IN THE FRONT June was visibly pleased as Ziggy lowered himself to her height. She admired that he lacked hesitation despite her words. "Aren't you a brave man," she spoke as she ran her hand through his hair. "Cheeky too." She withdrew her hands from the softness and gave a nod of approval once he was standing to full height once more. If he'd offended her on approach she might have been polite up until the point where he'd given her an advantage. She'd have taken a handful of that red hair and yanked his face towards the nearest table. The thought widened her smile just a bit. Lucky bastard. June wasn't violent without reason, although she could be a tad impulsive at times. June would have outright laughed at the textbook thought. She had refused all opportunities for studying anything here at Manson. They thought it would be beneficial for her 'recovery', however, the homunculus had stated time and time again that there was nothing this school could teach her. For her, this was not an asylum from the outside world, but rather a prison. June felt caged, a bird with clipped wings. She'd relished her freedom from her guardians, only to be thrown into this little shit hole they called Manson. "Brave, cheeky, and smart. Don't see much of that around these parts." That was possibly the highest of compliments one could get out of June. It was rare for her to take a liking to someone right off the back, but Ziggy was clearly making a good impression. June despised the weak but put her in the face of someone that could handle there own and she could be swayed. "What's your intake on Manson so far?" His grin turned smirk hit a nerve. She politely crossed her arms behind her back. It was not an action she usually took, for it left her open and exposed. June was simply keeping herself from curling her fingers into a fist and visibly displaying her sudden annoyance. The homunculus focused on his name instead and compared it to her own. Why did Ash name her June? He'd even gone so far as to give her a middle name as well. Artemisia. She liked her middle name a lot. It was a strong name. June admired strength, especially her own. She glanced around at the open tables. "Coke and rum," she stated without turning back to Ziggy. The white haired woman found a table near one of the walls so she could keep an eye on the rest of the room. Sitting down she crossed her legs and leaned against the table. Brave, cheeky, smart… Ziggy could get on board with those adjectives. At this point Ziggy would usually respond in kind with the hopes it could lead somewhere (this was a bar after all, surely it was against rules not to try it on), and probably his selection of words would be decidedly less PG, but June wasn’t really his type and he didn’t want to fool her into thinking otherwise and so he just grinned like he wasn’t the least bit surprised to hear it. “I was going to pick one of those for a middle name but it seemed unnecessary.” What with the qualities being so evident and all… For a moment Ziggy wondered if he could push this arrogance too far, he wanted to appear confident but that could hit a nerve as much as seeming a bit too pathetic did. He gave smile and small chuckle for the moment to try and downplay the statement even if he fully believed he was indeed brave, cheeky and smart.
As for what he thought of Manson, the fox really couldn’t say so far. “It gives the impression that it isn’t sure what it wants to be… Asylum or academy. Kinda fails at both at first impression.” he said with a small frown. On enrolment it all spoke as if it was an academy but once you get admitted and look around the aspects of the ‘asylum’ part, or prison as Ziggy was interpreting it all, became more and more apparent. He supposed though that could be his own bias… As a fox he was unused to being in an enclosed space, not allowed to roam free on his own to do as pleased. But as a former slave it was really another day at the office, as they say. Go here, do this, do that, the only difference was that he hadn’t fully gotten any other residence wrapped around his little finger yet in order to make it all that bit more pleasant.
With the drink order given Ziggy nodded and went off to get it. He hadn’t realised he annoyed June at all, probably wouldn’t care if he had, he wasn’t here to make everyone happy but simply to find ways to make his own life easier until he could leave.
On returning Ziggy was also holding a pint glass of beer. Nothing special, nothing too expensive or fancy but tasty and good to drink, as he was himself he would say. Placing it down on the table he then sat to her side to make sure she could still see across the room, taking a moment to sip at it before refocusing to the woman.
In this moment he knew he was taking a small risk but life was all about that, wasn’t it? So he asked her, “You seem to know this place well. What’s a guy to do or talk to to make life easier or more enjoyable around here?” Ezra had given useful pointers but Ziggy wasn’t sure how far he could trust the words of an obvious addict. He might be good for a roll in the sheets but beyond that he wanted a second opinion and who better to ask than someone who clearly is more dangerous than they let on?

DON'T YOU KNOW, DON'T YOU KNOW
TRUE FRIENDS STAB YOU IN THE FRONT
June was constantly teeter-tottering on the edge of violence. She was a walking weapon and was quick to assault someone. She'd calmed down just a smidge thanks to Wolf, but if she were being completely honest, no one could ever truly tame her. All it took was one wrong look and she'd be back to square one. The white haired woman didn't fancy the idea of being pushed over the edge by the shifter, but if push came to shove, she wouldn't discriminate. No one was safe, women, children, men, the elderly, they were all fair game. For people like her, this place was nothing short of being a prison. She didn't accept the idea of rehabilitation and it made it all the more difficult for her to walk the grounds friendly. She knew that some people this was definitely a safe space. They could lose control and know that someone would be there to make sure they didn't hurt others or themselves. They could be themselves without fear. Then there were others that needed to be educated. They needed to learn control and they got that here. June shook her head. She'd seen what Manson could do for those that needed it, but for those that didn't, they had no rights. They were trapped until Manson deemed them 'stable, acceptable, reformed.' June could respect the theory that you couldn't please everyone. She didn't so much as bother trying. June did things for herself and only herself. This world was hers for the taking and she would shape it how she saw fit. Everyone around her were merely pawns. She glanced at him as he took a seat, leaving her room to continue viewing the open space of the bar. "I've been here for what seems a lifetime, it's hard not to know what's going on," she responded, her gaze cutting towards him. June gave a wicked grin as he finished his sentence. "What are you worth," she asked. He'd clearly caught her interest. If he answered correctly, she'd give him whatever information he wanted, for a price. Nothing was free with June. Ziggy didn’t know for sure that June agreed with his views on Manson but he got the impression that her opinion might not differ too much. She did not look like the type that would hang around here without reason or choice, which was more reason for him to befriend her in some way. As if they were at all similar, possibly, she was working the system to her liking too.
With his glass resting on the table, Ziggy casually folded his arms across his lap as he looked to June, he wasn’t really expecting to be given a number for the years she had been here and the ‘lifetime’ comparison could mean ‘a year’ as easily as it could ‘ten and counting’ when you view yourself as a free agent, undeserving of being held to any contract. Either way he was still sure she would have some valuable info to share which was why he asked her who and what she might know.
Seeing her grin, Ziggy could have guessed what was coming next and wasn’t too surprised when she asked what he was worth he he chuckled a little before reaching out to take another sip of his beer. Nothing was free outside so why would it be inside? Ziggy was thinking June was more like himself than he first guessed, not that he’d point that fact out any time soon… she might not take it as the obvious complaint he thought it to be.
“I am worth helping.” he said with a shrug. “Not to brag but I have history on my side when it comes to working places like this. I just need to know info… to save on time. Sooner my life is easier, sooner I can pay it back in kind, and I will to those that help me.” Ez had been helpful and had been returned the favour, June wasn’t going to get the exact same deal but Ziggy was sure he could make her happy in other ways. Or whatever passed as happy for her.
“I am a fox, while some of the stereotypes are true, it really can be for your benefit as much as our own.” Ziggy was mostly meaning the whole ‘cunning and crafty’ traits that they get associated with, which can see you get screwed over in a deal but in this case, Ziggy really had the intentions to pay June back.

I WOULDN'T HOLD MY BREATH IF I WAS YOU
'CAUSE I'LL FORGET BUT I'LL NEVER FORGIVE YOU
DON'T YOU KNOW, DON'T YOU KNOW
TRUE FRIENDS STAB YOU IN THE FRONT June may have been a handful, but she was smart enough to manipulate the system. She'd found that Mason, the demon guard didn't give a damn about this place and would release her from her room without question. She didn't even have to ask nicely. Then there were a few of the residents, both high and low risk that would do just about anything for a gift or two. June had given blades to killers for information like guard routes, work schedules, what residents were where and when. She'd even helped the weak links because if you protected those with potential, when shit hit the fan, they'd have no choice but to join the fight or suffer the consequences. June was calculating in everything she did. Every action had a purpose. "I'll be the judge of that," June responded without missing a beat. Just because Ziggy thought himself hot shit didn't mean that June would just fall head over heels for him and his charms. She wasn't that type of gal if she could be considered a girl at all. Human heart, human soul, but everything else was made of earthly material; clay and tanzanite. She leaned forward. "What makes you think I should trust a single word that's coming from your mouth? You're new here, fresh meat. Your wristband says you're a violent and a thief. Hardly someone worth trusting." She sat back, legs crossed, drink in hand. "I don't give help freely Ziggy. This isn't an 'I owe you' type of place. You have to give in order to get." She sipped from his drink and then placed it on the table, her eyes steady on him. June didn't trust the fox as far as she could throw him, even less now that she knew that he was a fox. She instantly had a newfound bias against him. Ever since Kaiden had forced her to cut her hair, she'd despised the creatures almost more than she despised the human. She almost stood up the moment the word left his mouth. "I need more than word of mouth to prove your worth," she told him plainly. "I need to see results." She raised a delicate finger. "How about we make a better deal. You do something for me, and if you manage to succeed, I will give you whatever information you desire. If we like the way the other performs and delivers, then perhaps we can do more business in the future." June wasn't going to just throw away a useful opportunity because of bias. If Ziggy had any truth to his words, she'd be willing to help him, so long as she got what she wanted first. MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOXOGRAPHY 2.0

June seemed like she was a feisty little thing, Ziggy could appreciate the trait and it made him not the least bit surprised that she wanted something herself before she would give up anything useful nor that she didn’t immediately take him at his own word that he could be very beneficial to her. It brought a small chuckle to his lips and he nodded, fully willing to indeed let her be the judge of his words because the cocky fox knew she would see things how he did at the end… he might even push for an apology from her for doubting. Might, probably would not, he liked his manhood attached for various reasons. But the thought was entertaining none the less.
When his added band colour was pointed out, Ziggy glances to it and gave a small shrug, having somewhat forgot that added trait was on there too. It didn’t matter, he had a reason and excuse for everything including why the yellow flash really wasn’t something to be concerned about.
“Context.” he started off saying. “A man steals bread to feed a starving family and I doubt many would condemn him… I steal thrown out food from a bin and the occasional useful item, I get called a thief.” Sure, there was a whole lot missing from the explanation but it was mostly true to how he felt he gained the colour. Whether or not any of the admittance made June trust him any more, Ziggy was doubtful but he thought he would share anyway. With her he didn’t want to necessarily seem trustworthy any more than she would likely want to seem helpful and nice. But how beyond that he could fill her wish of givING before getting, he would need to think on a little.
Drinking as she spoke, Ziggy didn’t actually have much issue with June’s deal but he still felt a need to put it in his own terms. “So you want a demo of ability?” he asked curiously. “That is doable although I am still kinda working this place so I can’t do anything too dramatic.” Shifting in his seat a little Ziggy glanced around and then back to June. “Like I said, I am new here, don’t have a lot of stuff yet but I do have my gifts that the staff haven’t even discovered yet. You can use that… I can use that.”
Ziggy had no clue how much June knew about werefox or what they can do but he would let her have one bit of info, maybe that could be classed as some payment. “Foxes like me are sneaky for sure. Urban. Rout through the bins of life and find stuff people throw out and forget about not thinking anyone would care to look. And we don’t get found, we cover out tracks. Literally. Vampires, werewolves, witches… they aren’t able to follow.” Giving a smile he hoped June did get his meaning. Scent masking, if Ziggy didn’t want to be found or tracked then nobody was going to be able to sniff him out or even hear his heat beat. Surely June would find use it that?

I WOULDN'T HOLD MY BREATH IF I WAS YOU
'CAUSE I'LL FORGET BUT I'LL NEVER FORGIVE YOU
DON'T YOU KNOW, DON'T YOU KNOW
TRUE FRIENDS STAB YOU IN THE FRONT The last thing Ziggy would get from June was an apology. If he proved his worth, the most he'd get from her was a pat on the back. June did not apologize. Call it pride. If he'd so much as suggested that apologies were in order, she'd probably carve him up like a Thanksgiving turkey. June didn't fall into the category of ladylike. She enjoyed shopping, wearing dressy clothing, and lip gloss and lipstick, but her attitude was a far contrast from her taste in appearance. June often blamed it on the human heart she'd been given. And although her soul belonged to that of a human, she never blamed Ash Montgomery for anything. He was her father, her friend, and the one person in the entire world that she openly respected. Her lips curved into a smile. His word choice was interesting enough. He was well spoken. "I recall a musical where a man did steal bread for his family, yet he was condemned. I suppose it depends on the authority figure you run into." She sipped some more of her drink. " Trash is trash Ziggy. Isn't it a bit below someone of your stature, or am I giving you too much credit?" She'd picked up on the confidence, but was that all just a front? June didn't want to get involved with someone that talked big, but couldn't follow through. Part of the reason she was demanding a display of skills. The white haired woman gave a curt nod when he asked about a demo. She tapped her glass lightly. "Very well," she spoke after he'd finished explaining himself. "Dramatics draw attention anyway...." She wasn't well read on werefoxes. Ziggy was the first she'd knowingly crossed. She smirked. "If you're confident enough to use said abilities without compromising yourself while getting me what I want, then we're in business." June looked up at the ceiling, her expression thoughtful. He couldn't be tracked? That was useful. Perhaps he could get her items from the counselor's office. She'd prefer her things from the secure ward, but June wanted to be fair. If Ziggy got caught before she could properly use him, it would be a waste. "My counselor is a banshee. I don't see her often. I don't very much like her face." She crossed her arms over her chest. "The last time I spoke to her, she confiscated my scarf after I threatened to strangle a resident with it. I want it back. It's special to me." She didn't get to buy clothes often, so she cherished everything she could get. Especially since she still hadn't figured out how to use her alchemy to make clothes. Weapons came easy, clothes were harder. "Guards are constantly in and out of the counseling center to 'protect us' and those around us," she said rolling her eyes. "Be a shame if you got caught stealing. Might push your reform, excuse me, therapy to the extreme," she purred. June looked up at Ziggy. "Simple job, right?" Note: I apologize if it's crappy. I'm half asleep. MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOXOGRAPHY 2.0

Ziggy knew he gave off the impression that dumpster diving was well beneath him but he actually had the view that each person does what is needed in a given situation and shouldn’t be judged for it. It was just one of the reasons why he was annoyed at the guard who brought him here, he couldn’t understand or simply refused to even try to get his head around the idea of survival of the fittest in such a raw context. That or he was just a wimp who couldn’t take a little bite. It seemed like June did understand, maybe… Though Ziggy still felt like she was judging and mentally dissecting him. “Not Manson…” he said with a small scoff, as for the trash itself, “Nothing is below me apart from occasional other people.” he said with a shrug and small smirk, deliberately taking the words literally even if they were not meant that way. Anyway, by at least acting like you are not above everyone and doing certain things, you actually stay in the position you want to be in.
So if June wanted a demo of his skills before she would offer any kind of useful help Ziggy was willing to do as asked, something he felt a person who saw such things as beneath them would not do and so miss out of a potentially useful partnership. “I am positive I can.” Ziggy interjected with a smile, knowing full well it would come across as cocky and arrogant but when it came to his abilities, he indeed was. Yes, his current situation could be used as argument that he was not as skilled as he thought (being that he was caught and all) but Ziggy would use the thousands of times he had got away with stealing to back his confidence up. Besides, he needed to know how good the guards and cameras here were so this seemed like a useful test.
Listening quietly Ziggy gave a small nod as June said her counsellor was a banshee, it was not something he had come across before but he heard of the species and tried to think what exactly that meant. He didn’t think it mattered too much really, he hadn’t come across a species yet that could see through his own fox gifts. But a scarf? That is what she wanted? Ziggy raised a brow slightly but then just drank a little more of his drink. Ziggy was half thinking June would want a page ripped out a file or something rather than clothing back.
Smiling he put the glass down and chuckled, “Aw, nice to know you care but it is a simple job.” Simple enough he thought he might not even need to use his scent masking gift when the gift of talking would be just as useful. “Give me half an hour?” he asked because he planned to get this over and done with. “You are welcome to come too but would be better if you wait outside the therapy building.”
Ziggy already had a vague plan in his head as to how this would happen and he pushed his chair back a little ready to go and get started unless June voiced other ideas.
ooc: it was fine (:

I WOULDN'T HOLD MY BREATH IF I WAS YOU
'CAUSE I'LL FORGET BUT I'LL NEVER FORGIVE YOU
DON'T YOU KNOW, DON'T YOU KNOW
TRUE FRIENDS STAB YOU IN THE FRONT While June could understand, she would never stoop so low as to rummage through someone's trash, no matter how tough of a situation she was in. You had to have zero pride and self-respect to do something so foul. June nearly shuddered at the thought. She wasn't exactly an empathetic person and therefore could not find it in her heart to feel for someone who was struggling enough to do what was necessary to survive in such a manner. She'd much rather wilt away and die. Then again, June didn't need food to survive. She didn't need clothes either, but she had some sense of decency and liked the designs. The only thing June couldn't handle was an emotional connection and heat. The woman crossed her arms under her chest, a small smile curling her lips. His answer was enough to bring that smile to her face. Ziggy was interesting, for a fox. "I suppose that opens the door to endless possibilities when you have no morales or values." It might have been a cheap shot, but whoever said she had to play fair? The homonculus wouldn't be so quick to agree with him, even if she thought he could do it. She didn't peg Ziggy for the recklessly stupid type. Everything he'd done up to this very moment had been cautious in her eyes. He wasn't dumb by any means, which gave her the impression that he wouldn't have taken the job if he didn't think himself capable, no matter how simple it may have seemed. June had made a mental note to give him some very useful information if he came out of this in one piece. She may have left out that her counselor had been a former guard and had rigged her office to keep mischevious residents out. June had noticed the small sensors here and there. She'd even purposely tripped one while throwing a temper tantrum just to see what it could do. Her ears had been ringing for days after the event. June could have asked that her records been stolen, removed, destroyed, but that was too generic. Her counselor was bound to notice something that important missing. June may have been testing Ziggy, but she was also testing that pesty banshee. June needed to know how well she kept track of items she'd confiscated. How observant she was. June had plans for the future, but she needed information first. If Ziggy got tunnel vision and couldn't relay as much, she'd probably have little use for him on information gathering. She'd classify his usefulness in the typical thieves category of her mind. "Take however much time you need," June spoke plainly. "I'll be waiting here. I don't care to be near the therapy building." Plus she wanted to finish dancing away. It was the reason she'd come here after all. "Good luck," she said as he pushed his chair back. MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOXOGRAPHY 2.0
