The Groups
Below are explanations for the groups you can sign up to on the site. Read each and decided which one fits your character best. In some cases you might feel your character fits into more then one group, in this case you can pick a 'main' grouping, which is what your character will be added to, and mention a 'secondary group' that they also have traits of, which will give them the matching icon to there profile.
If at some point you want to change the group your character is in, then it the change must be threaded out. In it you should go through the events that show why the change is needed. For example, you character might have started to go downhill and needing to be moved from 'Runaways' to 'Addicts' , or maybe the treatment is working and they are no longer a risk and can be moved to a less violent group? When you have completed the thread, send a Admin a pm with the group you want the character changed to.
The Drunks
You will seldom see people from this group around that early, hangovers tend to make early mornings even more unbearable. Not all in this group are alcoholics, some just like having a good time even if it results in up-chucking most of the night or getting into some serious trouble. While some are just your typical drunken party people, others are not so just be careful not to mix with the violent drunks.
The Crazies
Not the most affectionate term but the one most use, even those in the group itself. Almost all have some sort of problem, ranging from the more minor OCD or ADD to sometimes something more extreme such as split personalities. Those in the group can range from being harmless if a little odd acting, to someone who you really wouldn't want to be alone with as you just don't know what they will do, some themselves don't know what they will do.
The Addicts
Your guys and girls who rather spend their pocket money on needles and pills then sweets and CDs. This lot tend to be on edge most of the time, they are almost always broke, wondering where there next fix is coming from. As a result and do badly in class. Some became addicts due to peer pressure, others because of a bad past then there are a few who thought it be 'fun' to try once and got hooked. Either way, best not to get to friendly with this lot. Sure you will be a mate, but don't be surprised if the odd fiver goes missing from your possession.
The Runaways
Nothing wrong with this lot as such, rather they are hated by the people around them or even their own family and so the academy is a safe haven to them. They are the rare few who willingly came to Manson. Even a asylum is better then the hell of home life where they were at risk of being beaten, abused or even killed. They just need to get away from it all, the problems and hatred that is felt towards them. So they have run and not looked back.
The Violent
This lot should have some sort of alarm to let you know they are coming, just looking at them can get the shit beaten from you. They pick on all the groups purely out of a love of fighting, win or lose (though winning is obviously preferable) they don't care as long as the other involved gets hurt. Most are on some from of medication or have bad pasts but a few are purely arseholes who seem to live to make others miserable. Some also carry knives or some form of weapon, so really just stay clear and in a group, if you do find yourself alone with one. Pray.
The Killers
And you thought the violents were bad... But you shouldn't let the name give you the wrong idea, this group is not as bad as you might think. Sure they have killed but unlike the Violents, most in this group don't take pleasure in the misery of others. No, that takes emotion. These people have none. A few it was purely a case of wrong place wrong time which led them to murder, others it was self defense. Either way something led them to take a life...
The Thieves
Lazy lot here, they don't see the need to earn money to get what they want. Why bother when they can just take it? Clothes, music even cars fall under stealable. People can and will get hurt on the way but then they shouldn't have put up a fight, right? There are a number of Klepto in this group, while they might not take things of worth they are still seen as thieves and should be stopped before they have a chance to move onto bigger game.
The Others
Another group where there is nothing really wrong with them, home life is fine and they have no real problems in there life. They simply need some sort of education and Manson provides it. Either as they need to learn how to control there gift, are unable to fit in a human school environment due to there odd appearance, or they are a supernatural creature that needs to get some manners.
The Staff
Someone has to keep the above groups in order. Guards, teachers, groundskeepers, doctors and counsellers are all hired by the academy. It seems inevitable that most will be automatically disliked due to them being authority figures but it is there job to enforce rules. Of course some do just have a rod up there backside but others are more easy going and chose to bend the rules concerning friendships with students a bit. After all, most of the staff are not human either, some even secretly share problems like the students they look after. If you are making a staff character, make sure you list what there job is next to the chosen group.Sub Groups
Your character will also be placed into a sub group once the main one is decided. This will be based on your characters age and how long they have been at the academy, and what stage in there treatment program they are at.
Student
Students are those of school age and are required to attend lessons, alongside following the treatment program set for them. Students can aged from thirteen (sometimes younger) up to early twenties. They can be from any group and of any risk level.
Resident
Residents are not required to attend lessons but still have to live at the academy and follow the treatment program set for them. Some still choose to go to lessons in subjects that interest them or if they want to get a grade in a particular subject. Like students they can be from any group and of any risk level.
Outpatient
Outpatients are those who have been at the academy for some time and have almost completed the treatment program, so can start to be prepared to leave the academy. Those in this group have permission to live off site, and sometimes take small jobs at the academy itself. They can be from any group but you can only become a outpatient once your are placed at the lowest risk level.
