"You could say that I do," Kieran chuckled. He wasn't about to reveal his partly headless state just yet. That was on a need-to-know basis and she didn't need to know. "I guess that'd come in handy." Judging by that comment, the Dullahan guessed she was something like Medusa. Kieran wasn't an expert on Greek mythology, but he knew of the three Gorgon sisters.
"I come to collect their soul and and they kick the bucket," he replied with a shrug. There really wasn't much more to it than that. The Unseelie Fae nodded at her comment about the academy. "Yeah, but they're not about to change that in a hurry."

| | It was fascinating how he had personal knowledge about missing body-parts when he looked so perfectly normal. Maybe he was a eunuch, that would explain why he wasn’t sharing because she imagined that might be a little embarrassing. “People like trophies I suppose, but also feels like grounds for biting people, so they get their comeuppance.” While Yen didn’t change her hair when she was in human form, she did feel like anyone who thought they could take a Gorgon’s hair deserved to die. Especially if they had been trying for her head.
Well. That was oddly anticlimactic. She had expected something a little more dramatic than someone’s soul being collected. Though it did narrow down what this man was. She could only think of three or four creatures on the top of her head that collected souls. He didn’t give off that hellish scent some of them did, but she couldn’t say for sure as he could be masking it somehow.
“Well, guess it’s time someone tries to force a change,” she said simply. She didn’t quite know how she would do that just yet, but she’d think of something eventually. For right now, however, she would have to find another way to get outside.

Kieran shrugged at that statement. "Greedy people are the ones who like trophies, and I haven't had run-ins with those." He had heard of trophy-hunters, but other kinds of Fae were generally the ones who dealt with them. The Dullahan's targets came from all walks of life. Kieran wasn't picky when it came to souls.
"In that case, they'd better be subtle about it," he replied with a smirk. The Unseelie Fae knew she was referring to herself. Kieran also knew the guards were quick to throw anyone who put so much as a toe out of line into solitary.

| | Well, they clearly ran in entirely different circles prior to being brought to Manson. Most of the people she had worked with were greedy. They wanted power, influence or money at all costs, and she, frankly, didn’t care if she helped them condemn themselves. She liked pulling strings and manipulating people from behind the scenes. “It’s a rare day when you find a politician that isn’t greedy, they all seem to want -something- or other for themselves. Thankfully, most of the ones I’ve dealt with have been unaware of our world. Or who knows, they would’ve wanted pixie-wings to snort as an aphrodisiac or something equally ludicrous.” To be fair, people were idiots as far as she was concerned. At least until otherwise had been proven. Well, humans in particular, supernaturals usually had a little more leeway before being called idiots by the gorgon.
“You mean they better find the right people’s buttons to push,” she said, smirking slightly. She had no doubt that she would be able to find someone’s buttons to push just enough to at least make life a little more bearable for herself. She didn’t need much, if she could find a place to work and have better food, she’d be happy.
“For now, I guess I have to rely on a guard to get some fresh air.”

Kieran nodded at her words. He could imagine humans using Fae parts for their own gain. "Yeah, I think that comes with the job. I don't really have much to do with them, though. Probably, which would result in the Fae getting revenge." The Dullahan snorted at that remark. "They could do that, but that's generally how you end up in solitary," Kieran pointed out.
"That's if they will let you get fresh air."

| | Yen had seen humans do the weirdest things in her years on this earth. Hell, she’d agreed to weird things out of some misconception that love would fulfill her and make her satisfied with her lot in life. She had allowed herself to be made into what she was because of the promise that she’d always have her family around. Needless to say, that hadn’t worked out too well. With nobody to teach her how to control her newfound powers or even explain how to undo them, it was a wonder she hadn’t turned more people into statues accidentally. It wasn’t until she’d intentionally turned her master to stone that she figured out how not to do it and by then her son was already petrified. No, if humans wanted to destroy themselves in the search of wealth, power or immortality, she was more than willing and happy to facilitate that destruction for them by leading them down a path that only ended one way. Death was inevitable once she set someone on that path, the only unknown was what would kill them.
“I’m sure they’ll also keep in mind that were I to slip this human skin, quite a few of them would get hurt if I really didn’t want to go anywhere,” she said, chuckling slightly. After all, despite her size in that form, the areas where a taser or tranquilizer dart would be effective was a relatively small target by comparison. Sure, the rest of her wasn’t outright immune to electricity, it just took a lot more than a regular jolt to incapacitate her. Benefits of the scales being made to function as armor too.
“Getting some fresh air seems like a small concession for a guard in exchange for good behavior on my part.” Or at least, that was the logic to her.

"I think that's a risk they'd be prepared to take," Kieran pointed out. The guards didn't muck around when it came to residents abiding by the rules. That was why he kept his head down most of the time. "Yeah, but the staff here are the ones who get to decide who goes where." The Dullahan was not fond of the restrictions here, but he knew he had to behave in order to have a chance at freedom.

"If one of you doesn't move the hell out of my way in the next three seconds I'll kick up such a fucking fuss that none of us will see the light of day for weeks."
The dry, unamused voice came from the demon stood a couple of foot away from the two with an empty tray held in her hands. Addie's eyes, usually a pale blue human colour had long since bled to the black of her species, not because of these two in her way but because of the lancing, throbbing pain of the wound on her shoulder. It wasn't visible and even beneath her baggy clothing her bandages weren't bulky enough to be spotted so nobody would know she were injured unless they'd seen her impaled by that flurry of blades that damn poltergeist had sent careening through the canteen just a week beforehand. Addie doesn't heal as quickly as some demons, but her temperment is just as bad so she isn't one that most people cross daily.
Or not notice when she approaches, if she'd had a blade then needless to say one of these two would of been bleeding by now. The demon sighed and shifted her tray in her hands so she was holding most of it's weight with her uninjured arm.
"Or feel free to stay put like a couple of useless idiots gossiping about god only knows what and I'll see if I can hack through a neck with this tray, choice is yours." [[ hope you don't mind me joining, if y'do I'll delete but Addie wants trouble xD ]]

| | Maybe he was right that they were willing to risk the cafeteria being turned into a mess simply because people wanted outside and caused a rampage when they weren’t allowed outside. She was about to answer the man when someone sounded as utterly bored as she was interrupted them. “As you wish,” she said, smirking slightly at the lady and stepping out of her way. “Though not seeing daylight wouldn’t really be that much of a downgrade from the canteen,” she added as an afterthought. It most definitely wouldn’t make that much of a difference to spend time in solitary.
For some reason, those black eyes weren’t off-putting at all, it made her want to poke the demon and set her off on the people around them. “Don’t avoid using that tray as a weapon on my behalf,” she said with a shrug. Honestly, that might just make her day. It sure would be a lot more entertaining than just waiting for her guard to escort her back to her room or whatever stupid excuse of an exercise they wanted her to participate in next.
“Staff can’t really decide much of anything if they’re made stone,” she added to the fascinating limb-less creature. Well, not literally limb-less, but she was going to think of him as such from now on since he clearly was familiar with the concept of missing something, even if it wasn’t visible.

Kieran glanced at the newcomer, but remained where he was as the snakey lady moved out of the way. "True, but if it's temporary, then I have a feeling they're not gonna let it slide," he replied with a shrug. The black-eyed girl was interesting, but not as interesting as who he was talking to. The Dullahan also knew whoever tried to decapitate him would be in for a shock. Kieran's head was detachable after all.

Addie didn't need to wait around any further when the woman moved out of the way for her, but she did cast Kieran a deathly cold glare as she passed by, "I guess chivalry is dead, hu, bastard." She went ahead and slipped her tray with the rest for cleaning, removing her plate and doing the same thing with that. It was tempting to smash it over one of their heads but that would be what her counsellor would call unreasoable behaviour and so she controlled herself. She did let out a mocking breath of a laugh when Yen spoke about not seeing daylight though and glanced over her shoulder to the woman with a disdainful expression, "spend enough time down there and you'll be grateful for the glimpses of the outside world through those barred windows."
In isolation there was nothing but the floor, the ceiling and the solid four walls around her. The only thing that moved or let her know that she wasn't alone would be the blinking red light of the camera keeping watch on her.
She let the comment on the tray go by without a response, she'd already put it down, she wasn't picking it back up again just to karate chop the woman in the neck with it, or the guy for that matter, both of them were already getting on her nerves and they hadn't even really done anything to deserve it. But she was pissed about her injury, so that emotion will spill out onto anybody around her.
"What're you two chit chatting about anyway? Planning on some kind of mass murder? Because if so I'll stick around for that," she couldn't think of why else a Killer and a Violent resident would be conversing away from where the guard's could hear. And she was curious. Death and destruction cheers her up, she could do with a laugh.
However the longer she stuck around the more likely it was that a guard would wander closer, Addie is notoriously bad at playing nicely with others and they'd soon clock on that she's conversing with two other dangerous residents. Not usually a good sign.

| | If it weren’t for the fact that Yen thought a demon definitely could make a decent ally, she probably would’ve just pushed the male aside instead of stepping aside herself. As it was, well, showing an inkling of respect seemed like a better first impression than acting like a selfish brat likely would have. “You’d think spending some time alone would be better than the company of a majority of the people here at least.” So far, she seemed to have been lucky, but she had seen a few people around that looked like nothing but waste of space. Like that girl from before that seemed to regain her mobility at last. “And for the record,” she started, smirking slightly at the man before she continued: “it’s only temporary in this form. Need magic to undo the real thing.” Or at least the skills to brew the right potion, but that was a different matter.
“If you’ve got a way of dispersing venom quickly enough, sure. Casual mass murder seems like just the thing to spruce this place up a bit,” she said, shrugging slightly. “Mostly just trying to figure out which guard is better suited for things like unlocking doors…” Yen didn’t really care if she wound up dragged out of the canteen for loitering, because she might just bite out of spite at this point. At least she’d get stuck in the medical wing then. That was better.

Kieran merely shrugged at the demon's snarky remark. Fae were not usually familiar with chivalry, especially those in the Unseelie court. "Yeah, it died when people started treating each other equally." He then turned his attention to the snake lady. "Well, I wouldn't be surprised if the guards here had magic. They'd need all the help they could get with folks like us," the Dullahan pointed out.

"If you think that people are treated equally then you need a trip to my hometown." There was nothing about hell that was equal, it was all kill or be killed, the strongest survived whilst the weak were imprisoned of enslaved. Addie has no patience for those who speak of equality, there's no such thing and there never, ever will be. She believes that with every atom of her little demonic heart. Luckily her hands were empty or she would have smacked the fae in the head with her tray for his remark, stupid stupid, "so show a little respect, ass." Yes, she's a bitch. No, she doesn't care.
"Get me a couple of blades and I can distribute venom pretty damn quickly. Or a set of shuriken," if it has a sharp edge then you can be rest assured that she'd pretty damn good with it. Unfortunately there weren't many places to find anything sharp around here that the guards haven't already taken away from everybody here. The demon rolled her eyes simply because she was utterly fed up with the whole restrictiveness of being within this place. Surely if they all ganged up together then the staff wouldn't stand a chance.
But most people were afraid of a little electric shock. Not that the shock that the collar's emitted (especially hers) was anything weak. So she couldn't really blame anybody.. But she totally was.
