Addie watched with something close to amazement as the knives scattered over the floor of the canteen lifted steadily into the air. The scream of the poltergeist was background noise to her, something she'd heard time and time again but the rage in it was something beautiful. She could relate to that on a level that most people would never understand, it was something that ran in her very blood, always close to the surface. It was why she found it difficult to make connections to most people, there was a tremendous amount of patience required to get through to her on a level of understanding.. Conor had been patient. June on the other hand, she hadn't been patient per se, but she had been respectful, in a way that was just as good for her. There was no need to destroy somebody who was both helpful and could appreciate her skills.
Addie likes June for a simple reason, she was useful and dangerous. Both things were admirable.
It hadn't occurred to her that his rage would be just as mindless as hers until the knives went flying and she found herself just a touch too slow to drop to the floor and out of the way. The familiar sting of a blade sinking into her shoulder made her let out a strangled cry and the knife in her right hand dropped to the floor before her even as she dropped to the tiled floor.
"For fucks sake," she muttered out her curse and reached over her shoulder to try and wrench the knife from her back. It was her fault, really, she'd seen June drop and should have followed suit then but she'd lingered to enjoy the view for a moment too long and so she paid the price. Not the worst thing to have happened to her, but her right arm had been beaten on more than once in this place now and as a right handed individual she was less than impressed. However, she wasn't nowhere near as badly injured as the unit that had rushed into the canteen were. A couple of the guards had superior healing abilities and were pulling blades from their flesh, others lay in steadily growing pools of blood. Addie grunted and rolled onto her back laughing, the bloodied blade that had been in her back within her palm now.
Meaning she easily cut the achilles tendon of the first guard that approached her, from there though she had issues as pain limited her from rising too quickly from the floor. Guards were upon her before long, a needle in her neck moments later even as she snarled and thrashed in their grasp. Like a wild animal she ended up getting put down, but she was still smiling that same cold little smirk of a smile as she succumbed to darkness.. She'd undoubtedly wake up in the medical center or back in solitary, but either way, it was worth it
